Hi! I'm Harrison and I like to make videos. I mainly discuss indie music, hip hop, and a few other things. My videos are a blend between the "video essay" and "commentary" formats: a voiceover, video clips, transitions, and a little bit of me talking, too. My main goal is to share lesser known music with people and inform them of stuff they might've missed. The name, "Alfo Media", is short for "Always Forward Media". A short, memorable name that represents some of the themes of this channel. New videos every Tuesday and Friday (most of the time). Thanks!

Was this written with AI? Just a rambling nonsensical bunch of gibberish. MEH
I love the "you think you know me" sample that pops up throughout JPEGMAFIA's music, Hazard duty pay, Kingdom Hearts Key, and Real Nega all have this sample
She's said this before; her brief flirtation with the mainstream and the trajector towards pop superstardom abruptly ended not because she COULDN'T do it, but because she didn't want to. She decided to stick with the unique and avant garde, and I guarantee will be remembered for it.
10:47 my exact thoughts on chloe (first name only intentional lol) at the end. i yelped! then realized i yelped because i saw kids when i was like 10 lol so she exists in a very specific place in my brain, but obviously does for many other people too, which is obviously why she was chosen for the end of the video…ugh it’s so fun (also is saw charli at pitchfork in 2019, the entire performance is on yt i was one of my most blissful experiences on earth so far)
I remember hearing people associating Wake me up when September ends as a 9/11 song because it happened to be "sad" and mentioned September... just... no. Poor Billie Joe must have heard those takes as many times as the memes of his beautiful song about his dad...
I love math and this is wasn't I expected but really liked tho
Sing Street is so marauders coded! It’s not on netflix (at least where I live) but the whole thing is on KZread for free. Banger movie I adore it
Zurich is stained - Pavement
I’m not a fan of anything she’s made post-diary 001, but I can appreciate what she’s done and how she’s grown.
I Felt Your Shape by the Microphones clocks in at just under 2 minutes, but damn is it emotionally stirring.
This video is excellent!
Nice way to lead people in to DIY music.
Bruce Springsteen: 57 Channels and Nuthin' on. Unambiguous.
It's a bop 🎉
For me this is leonards song and always will be.
I didn’t see the Survivor point coming! I’m a Charli and Survivor fan. Really enjoyed the video, thank you.
yes yes YES YES YES
Absolute banger of a video!
It would’ve been funny when he was older and came back if he sounded like an 18 year old.
something i find interesting about feel good inc, is that the issue it experienced is the same as anything trying to criticise authoritarianism, it ends up being turned into something authoritarians keep trying to use to prove their point i mean, there's that famous meme about how 1984 by george orwell was banned in the US for being "pro-communist" and how it was banned in the USSR for being "anti-communist" when it's anti-authoritarian and i've seen countless conservatives call liberation of minority groups "literally 1984" and honestly that's the problem with satire. the better you do it, the worse it's message is going to get across
Sick video man! Couldn’t agree with this take more. You clearly know your stuff
I'm actually surprised out of all Beatles songs he didn't mention "I Will" and "For No One", but besides that great video! very well researched.
Nigga come back here and like clairos comment
He never apologized to Janet Jackson for their superbow performance that he help sabotage. She took the blame when she wasn’t in on it. which is more important than to me. But everyone else is mad at him about Brittany. 😒😒
Goddamn that was such a mind blowing video I loved the analysis phheewwwww
“I’m so Julia” sent me the first time I heard it
u said it all, amazinggg im loving this era
Adderall by rav
Here after the beef
she's mainstream for indie, and indie for mainstream
Hey ya is a must to discuss
She slays it all.
you had me until u called fancy and boom clap bad they're BOPS
I feel like _"pastiche"_ might be a good word here. Whereas a _parody_ deliberately amplifies cliches to mock something. A _pastiche_ amplifies cliches to pay tribute to something in a fun way.
Well... Isn't it obvious for everyone that Zappa and Cobain were trolling mentioning this as one of their favorite bands?
This video is so chronically online I lost a few brain cells
I wished you mentioned more lesser known female singer-songwriters/musicians.
Ppl think that chasing cars is a sad song about someone dying but its actually about life together with a loved one
"That Little Sports Car" is heavy AF

AWAITING YOUR REPLY by THE RESURRECTION BAND, a great album cover and a great album
I think one of my favourite ironies is when my country decided to use Don't Stand So Close To Me by The Police as a social distancing ballad during the pandemic. People... Do realize it's about a high school teacher lusting after one of his students, right?
Microphones/ Mount Eerie should have been on here. And in singer/songwriter, Till the Morning Comes by Neil Young has a similar amount of story to the ones in the video and it's great. But the best under-2-minute song ever is obviously Another Green World by Brian Eno. One of the most gorgeous, and most heartbreaking, songs ever.
An underrated classic! I love this movie. When it comes to the original novel and most adaptations of it, I think Christine should either end up with Raoul or better yet, ditch both men and go on to have a fabulous career instead. But this movie? I'm like, "Winslow and Phoenix forever." Not only are they a genuinely sweet take on the Phantom/Christine pairing, they're presented as soulmates who are so in love they reincarnate throughout the ages to find each other again and again, which is a romance trope I absolutely adore.
aaaahh who careees
this is the ultimate “the girls that get it get it, the girls that don’t don’t” irony
when I saw Alex Consani in the MV, I screamed and immediately got what she was going for
i agree wholeheartedly except for the boom clap slander
Freaks is the most nostalgic song
tbh kpop songs rn are tue best at using the shorter duration. They stull fit a bridge, and a vocal outro sometimes. it feels maximalist and enough. While if you listen to 2016-2018 kpop songs it feels like too much
