Yes, I can hear the critics. "Blues comes from the soul, it shouldn't be played from sheet music."
Well sadly, me and millions of other pianists weren't born with that gift but we still love the blues and want to play it ourselves and
the more people "Keeping The Blues Alive" the better. Right!
Check out our website for the best professional blues sheet music on the planet plus lots of great FREE sheet music as well.

I met the good doctor down in New Orleans as my BIL was good friends with him. He said hello sir I’m John. I was shaking ( I’m a professional bassist) so meeting folks usually is fun and a treat but this late afternoon he was already dressed from head to toe and of course very high too. Kept calling me young man which was crazy since I’m in my mid 60’s now. BTW he talks just like he sings. A memory I’ll never forget.
Wow have never heard such beautiful medleys before booker
Saw him play often at Die Fabrik, Hamburg, in the 1980s. Outstanding talent, sorely missed.
Thank God for the blues as they say. RIP Dr. John ❤️🎶
Only like the Doctor could operate!!!
MOVING THE SOUL.....
Formidable pianiste oui
Magnificent artist treasures from heaven thank you for sharing this wonderful gift
For me James Bookers is the best piano player that I see in blues and songs and Glen Gould the best in classical music…
I saw Pinetop Perkins somewhere around the year 2000 in Connecticut. After the show he stayed around, sat down and visited with anyone who wanted to say hello. I bought a CD and he autographed it. Nice guy. I'm so glad I got to shake his hand and spend a few minutes with him.
I cry when I hear any of Dr. John's MUsic as I do when I hear Coco's music... I regret ever leaving the quarter.... This music is LIFE itself.
Clinto is very talented!!!
Sacré clint ❤❤❤

I watched Changeling today and in the credits listed Clint Eastwood as the music provider. I immediately googled you CE and then pulled up a video of one of your piano performances, then this one I am impressed and inspired. Thanks for sharing music in a way that gives glimpses into the past and bringing it into the present. ❤❤❤
@15:25 ish Clint says You People.
Much appreciation for this outstanding video!
And the piano is the greatest instrument for the Blues! Booker proved my statement
The good doctor never disappoints. Mac was a treasure, and I’ll enjoy his music until I assume room temp, the inevitable conclusion to each one of our stories.
One of my favorites!
❤
Loved the history of the piano and all the significant artists that helped shape American Blues and Jazz. Very, very inspiring and heart rendering. Thank-you Clint Eastwood for this elegant documentary!
There s soul !

Ben Sandmel on the river with him & produced.
Algorithms are not so bad! Brought me this! I guess I had heard Clint played piano but I didn't realize he was this much into it. Great documentary!
Algorithm on point for a change haha.
Another favorite Dr. John version of a song is How Come My Dog Don't Bark When You Come Around?
I love Katie and her voice
Super! Thank U.
Fortunately Jon Cleary is still flying the flag
Truly Tantalizing - Thank You -
Damn, that was killing. Thanks!
Da Vinci's twenties century...😍🤗👌

Damn good music
Who would have thought?
Some of the absolute thickest chords ten fingers can play are right there for your ears. Masterful!!
It all started with Gospel.
When the music ended my ears and my heart made my eyes cry. Brain wasn't involved at that point - still trying to process...
Alright !!
Dig That Ramsey Lewis!!
