It's not about who was there first, it's about who is dying there NOW and how do we stop them from dying now. The answer is a ceasefire. You can go and talk about the historical rights of this or that somewhere else. This isn't the space or timeframe of that topic, and it hasn't been since others started living there.

Do you really believe that "killing children" is what pro-Israelis are okay with? Or are you purposely mischaracterizing the reasoning? I understand I am going to get slurs and hate for asking questions, but I honestly feel if more people did ask questions they would see that the change of conduct does not/ CAN not lay with the Israelis. What options does Israel have left? - They can't ceasefire and abandon the hostages kidnapped on October 7th, and expect that Hamas will for some unknown reason not repeat October 7th again. - Israel has on numerous occasions come to the table to negotiate peace with Palestinians, (even offering the majority of the land to Palestinians) and STILL the Palestinians refused to have discussions. - Hamas purposely place their bases underneath hospitals and schools and don't allow Palestinians to evacuate for PR purposes. How do you expect Israel to do more when negotiating with a group that wants to eradicate every Jew "from the river to the sea". Israel should ceasefire knowing that Hamas are going to once again repeat October 7th‽ There is a reason why Israel have needed to create so many defensive measures, because they are dealing with a group who will only accept one negotiation, which is the complete removal of Jews from Israel. It's a western cultural attitude to presume it is always us who is required to change. Instead would the following not be easier. - Hamas return the hostages to Israel (alive duh) - Westerners begin to hold the leaders of Hamas accountable (rather than expecting Netanyahu is purely responsible for change) - Palestinians come to the table to negotiate peace (and don't assassinate any Palestinian representative who agrees to such a thing) - Palestinians honor the peace agreement and do not bomb or assault any more Israeli's leading to a eventual reduction of restrictions. You may fairly argue that Palestinians wont do that, which is true. So how do you negotiate peace with someone who wants to eradicate you‽ The answer is you can't until they change. No action of Israel can possibly lead to peace. Either the Palestinians need to change their culture to accept a peace agreement, or the Palestinians will eventually succeed and it will be a nationwide holocaust.

Just discovered the podcast with Beadle, and I'm trying to figure out how I'm gonna carve out the time. Little 5-15 min videos here are probably the fast track to my attention span. The Gaza situation is very complex, upsetting and tragic. We are all brothers and sisters, it is horrific what our species does when it loses sight of that. A true dilemma, I don't see any practical/actual solution. Wishing you and yours all the best and continued success.
