English is the second language of the Philippines and education is mostly in English, so a big majority of the Filipinos speak it . . . We do not really speak Tagalog through and through, rather, we speak Taglish ( Tagalog and English mixed )

it's common from the middle class to rich people in the Philippines as what they call conyo. most Filipinos can somehow understand common english and simple sentences but can't speak fluently. that's where the phrase "nose bleed" came from. i am Filipino and i can somehow write in english sentence but can't speak it fluently. also their accent makes it a little difficult for me to understand sometimes cause they are too slang 😅 i somehow belong in the middle class. maybe a lower middle class lol.

this is not about filipinos.. it's about ez.. so what if filipinos can speak english? ez doesn't have that strong filipino accent when he raps or talk. The host said "You sound like you're from detroit or new york" so don't bring that credit grab energy here.

From previous interviews EZ said he'd lived in Los Angeles first, then his family moved to Las Vegas. His stepfather was an African American. His sister married an African American. There is a video of that event where he sang Ed Sheeran's "Perfect" with his younger sister Raynn. EZ has a great relationship with his stepbrother Anji who is mixed Japanese and African American. They have a track together "Omoshiroi" on his "Act 1" album. EZ had 2 buddies he featured on his track "Come Through" on the same album. Not to mention his best bud Michael Bars who featured him in the track "Victorious" and produced the beats for EZ track "Podium". In his latest album "Du4li7y Redux" EZ featured MBNel in the track "Coin$" and 4 the Brotherhood in the track "The Long Run". Imo 7+ years living in the culture would've expanded his fluency.✌️

What’s the story of EZ’s English? Funny question. English is one of 2 official languages in the Philippines. EZ meant his English wasn’t always grammatically accurate (same as a lot of native speakers duh) but not broken. 2:43

@@jennystefan4076 no. listen to the interview. he said he got signed 2 months after they've met. i've read somewhere in the article that he met em and dre a month after the Upload of Updown MV. he uploaded the MV last February. so if he met them last march, he got signed around May. July 27 was just the day they announced it publicly.

English is the second language in the Philippines, more than 95 percent of them speak English fluently. Almost all Filipinos can speak at least three different languages fluently. Many of them can speak four different languages.

Of course, EZ can speak english. We have our own type version which is Philippine English and where he came from Olongapo City is actually American Military Base. And then when he moved to America, he adopted the American accent. PS: Philippines is in a TOP 5 English Speaking country.
