  I’m originally from Baltimore, but now I live in Silver Spring Maryland. I’ve traveled the world and been to many places, and believe me….. ain’t nothing like home. I love my state.   Life long Marylander (65 years), however, it has become time to leave. Maryland has is a beautiful State for the most part, plus you are within 4 hours of anything you want to do, however, it is not a senior friendly state, taxes are high. Home prices are some of the highest in the nation, crime is on a serious rise, traffic is absolutely horrible, cost of living is skyrocketing and the liberal policies care only for illegals and the entitlement citizens. The three biggest counties and Baltimore City are entitlement cesspools. The liberal government has gone off the deep end in their thoughts and policies.

  Conservative counties are the best, however they are getting harder and harder to find. Maryland is a very, very liberal state. It is moving closer and closer to rotten California politics every day!

  Your Suburban comment needs to be rephrased to "Its Suburban so there are a lot of people here and no truly free space or woodland areas. Dont come here hoping its going to be a three mile, dead-end swamp road in Louisiana where you can do what you wish freely." You also forgot to mention its a bit of a Police state with an unnecessary high amount of rules and laws that diminish certain personal freedoms or force you to jump through hoops to attain those freedoms and rights.

  lived there from 86-91. the bugs were bad that locust year I was there. as far as weather goes there is not 4 seasons. There is 3 seasons and 2 snow days. I say this as someone from Michigan and I know what winter is.

  Ocean city is always super crowded in the summer. It has a touristy feel and I was much more use to a locals only feel at SoCal beaches. But as you move north to Delaware Beaches, Like Bethany, it's not as crowded or busy :)

  Boring city. I’ve lived here for 10 years. Too expensive and there is a lot of dangerous neighborhoods like Meade village, pioneer city & still meadows. Arundel mills is technically not in Severn. It’s also not a well lit area at night. Heavy traffic because there aren’t ample roads. Schools are bottom of the barrel, though they are pretty diverse due to military base being so close. Neighbors aren’t friendly, people usually keep to themselves. Rarely any community events. HOA will have your car towed if you stay in a visitors spot for more than 1 day even if there is no other parking. The only thing to do is walk your dogs, there are more dog parks than basketball courts, and there are no public swimming pools in Severn! Not a single one! I’d rate Severn a 4/10 only because it’s close to arundel mills and bwi. Everything else is a mess

  Toured this a few years ago. Great house quality, nice flat lots unlike Westmount a few miles away. Freeway noise horrendous though, especially on the 2nd floor. A million dollars to hear freeway nose. Nope.

  On the Eastern Shore Kent Island, we did not get any cicadas. Was excellent. Also, you forgot that Maryland is a Democrat controlled state, so pick a good county to survive it. ✌️

  As someone from georgia i barely consider the Virginia's as part of the south. There is no way Maryland is part of the south. The reason is dc wich is physically in meryland is and was the capital of the u.s. during the civil war and now. Meryland didnt suceed from the union. Meryland is definitely not part of tge south. Thanks for using logic in this video.

  I lived in Ellicott City for 35 years and I miss being there enormously. It was centrally located between Baltimore and Washington , DC. A bunch of great restaurants and bars. A safe area to live. 😊
