I'm a big time do-it-yourself who loves to work. I've done several projects on my own and thought it might be time to help some people along the way with my videos. Also my family and I are building a new home on a piece of land we bought and thought it would be fun to keep a vlog of our progress along the way as well as some helpful tips that my give some insight to building a new home.

    What do I do if the leveling nut is maxed out and that side is still too low? You can't adjust the right side.

    You should also level front to rear as well. The front should be approx. 3/4 in lower than the back.

    All the side growth needs to be removed. Just the growing tip should be used to get it up to the top wires. Sorry I am so late in responding. Listen to Ison's Nursery links.

    looking at Eagle Carport shop 24x30. For the slab, would it make sense to have a recessed outer channel around the edges so the ground base steel tube to sit in? this way the bottom of door jam sits lower, and the bottom of roll ups can rest a couple inches lower lower than interior. Thanks for feedback.

  • @michaelwillis3932
    @michaelwillis39322 жыл бұрын

    That is an excellent Idea. I wish I would have thought about it. I don't see why that wouldn't work the only thing I will say is to make sure to leave the slab elevated a little. On my building the side sheeting metal comes down a couple of inches below the base tube. Not sure if they wold normally cut that off or if they left it for convenience since mine was elevated. The other thing is, be sure to leave room for the roll up doors to come down all the way. The bottom of the doors come down to the bottom of the base tube and sit inside the frame. Hope this helps. Good Luck!!

    I know this is an old video but just a hint. Never tighten that second blade like you did, if that wood ever moved you could say good by to your knuckles. I know that's not the sharp side of the blade but I'm thinking it sure would hurt.

    If you don't want to pinch your fingers putting the belt back on, try removing 1 end of the tensioner spring. When your belt is where it belongs, put the spring back on. It helps if you have a spring removal/installation tool for automotive drum brakes. T-style works great for me.

    March 2016 I bought a BC700xl. The very first day the hydraulic system had a leak from or improperly installed and loose fittings. From the start he machine frequently clogged and stopped feeding. I lost dozens of hours on the job opening cutter wheel and feed wheel clearing it out . One day a few months after I got it I found cutting wheel bolts in the hopper. Quite a few times I had to cancel work in progress and lost production days. It has created a burden in scheduling and completing jobs to get paid impacting crucial cash flow and jeopardizing the viability of my business. I had 6 mechanical failures from manufacturing in first 200 hrs. That chipper was the single biggest drain on productivity for my business. RDO equipment did not acknowledge this was a problem or take any responsibility for selling a machine that was continually plagued with performance and mechanical issues. Just business as usual for RDO and Vermeer chippers! Vermeer and RDO completely fail and do not care if lost production from poorly manufactured equipment ruins your business. RDO was not honest or trustworthy. Vermeer chippers are total crap production quality. Even when bought brand new they will continually break down. In mine the bearings failed in the first 200 hours. The RDO mechanic got it covered under warranty when he proved it was a factory assembly issue. Still I lost weeks and weeks of work dozens of hours and thousands of miles making 150 mi round trip back and forth to the dealer. Customers found others to do the work employees lost wages and told me they were looking for another job. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BUY THESES TOTAL CRAP MACHINES!!!!!! April 2019 I bought a brand new Bandit 70 xp. It now has over 200 hrs in 3 years and not one single problem!!!

    Great video! I think you forgot about the blade orientation which needs to be set before you put the belt back on the main pulley. You'll find it casts the clippings much better if the two blades are offset from each other as the manufacturer recommends. Also I don't think your bent blades were the problem as much as that string wrapped around the spindle of one of the blades which can slow that one blade down and give you the inconsistent results that you noticed in your cut. Thanks for sharing this!

    Thanks for the comment. We are about two years into this model and still love it. I will say I battle with the thermostat but I think that is a Dometic issue not a Crusier issue. It tows great behind my 2017 Silverado and has all the comforts we need. I would definitely recommend a the Crusier brand.

    I did the electrical in mine. Code in my area said it had to be "commercial grade" which meant armored cable and metal boxes etc. I also had to provide extra ground points and upgraded ground cable because of it being metal... didn't understand that one. I had a separate 200 amp service ran just to the shop so I had plenty of room for other stuff
