I think 魔方大厦 was a reference to the animated series in the 90s, not an actual building

You can get very nitty gritty specific to say this or that is not perfect, because... he claims to be perfect, when he should say fluent as some suggested. BUt it's the idea this white guy can speak your language flawlessly is very... arrogant and clickbaity and makes you want to scrutinize him more for it than if he was being humble. If he had not said such stupid titles, people would be way more impressed with him.

What a wonderful interview and video. This guy is an inspiration for all us language learners! I feel I had a similar arc as him with Spanish and Portuguese, just fully immersing myself in audio materials and hanging out with people that speak those languages. Now I am beginning to improve my Mandarin and it seems like a big hill to climb, but watching your channel and interviews like this keeps me motivated !!

I have never thought that accent really matters but then I recalled that I change back to my regional accent when I talk to friends and family.

I'm always on the hunt for new Chinese content channels, and I really liked this topic! If I were to offer some suggestion, I feel the Chinese text should be bigger and more prominent, since as a foreigner it's easy to build a bad habit of looking for letters first and hanzi second. I use some extensions that help with KZread's CC subs so it'd be great if those were enabled too.

When dating Chinese guy, you need gifts, spending, guy to show attitude, etc. and let him touch your hand after 3 months. But if white guy, you bang him after 1-2 meets. LOL. Pretty standard double standard.

Rita, I love your KZread videos, but I have to be honest... your website is dreadful. I thought maybe I might be interested in the course, but I closed the page almost as soon as I opened it. It's _extremely_ long, very difficult to read on desktop, and goes on and on and _on_ about how amazing the course is and how this part is worth $xxx and this other part is worth $xxx (all just arbitrary numbers with no relevance to any real world values). Maybe it's just me but I cannot stand websites like that. They just feel like... like if they spew enough positive testimonials at me and keep telling me it's great and how much each component is worth on its own before they finally get to the price then I won't be so shocked (so long as they say "only $xxx!", as if saying "only" takes away any of the sting). I don't mind self-promotion, but please just give me the facts in a neat, tidy way without all the endless padding and fluff, and be upfront and straightforward with the pricing. Make it look enticing, don't try to convince us we should be enticed. Anyway. Rant over. Congratulations on the baby and I hope it goes well for you!
