I bought and still listen to “looking for the Light” it was more Americanized. If I play this out loud, is that ok? I don’t know anymore. I love Texican heritage.

Once when I was a kid I did a lot of cotton picking and onions I'm proud to say that I am a Mexican that is what I am and I will always be that I'll never forget the days that I work so hard for many years I'm proud of my heritage keep strong or shall I say stay strong

I am not a Mexican, but my Mexican wife for over 30 years was born and raised in America, became an American citizen, worked in banks for 40+ years and wants to go back home - and take me with her. LOL. I am a Texan, born. Funny thing is, when we met, she refused to date me for 2 years. I have been resisting moving to Mexico for 2 decades. LOL. Now that we are retiring, I am taking my baby back home to stay, but we will travel the world as our bucket list. My wife is SUPER happy!!!!! ¡¡¡Gran canción!!! ¡Gracias! Añadido a mi lista de reproducción. No soy mexicano, pero mi esposa mexicana por más de 30 años nació y se crió en Estados Unidos, se convirtió en ciudadano estadounidense, trabajó en bancos por más de 40 años y quiere volver a casa y llevarme con ella. I've watched it twice and still have tears. I think about all the migrants at the border trying to escape a corrupt government, high crimes by the cartels, no employment, the list is endless. And Americans who don't understand are quick to say, go back home. Back in the day Texas WAS Mexico, so I am home!!! Thank you Rick Trevino por no olvidar de donde viene su raices. Puro orgullo!!! Have always loved this guy and what can you say about Flaco Jimenez. Beautiful , and timely. I live in S. Arizona about 8 miles from La Linea. I know the stories, lived it every day for many years and this song is the real deal. Politics aside, this song sums it up. Love it.
