We're FaceliftInteriors - a new family-run upholstery business based in the UK.
We post step by step how-to upholstery tutorials to help upholstery beginners learn new tips and tricks to help them with their next upholstery project. As well as showing some of our reupholstery transformations hoping to give our audience some home decor inspiration!
Neil is the face of our videos and we like to include his quirky sense of humor and general clumsiness in the videos to keep them light hearted as well as educational. We hope keeping the silliness in the videos adds a bit of entertainment to your learning :-)

Wow. This was so thorough. I really hope I can make my cushions well after all of this help! Thank you!
What do you recommend for motorcycle seats , Suzuki Vstrom , want the seat raised up
How much does something like this cost to have done?
I've been given a poorly treated child's parker knoll chair, I've sanded it back so far it's been left outside for god knows how long I've stripped the seat too. It's got 2 deep cracks where the arms end at the front, what would you do to these? Its obviously warped badly and it's put together with all wood pegs rather than nails etc. I'm going to do what you've done for the stain etc but do you have any tips as to what else it might need to be treated with. I've a lot more smooth sanding to do to it yet 😂 it's probably taking me longer than youve taken to do this full size chair, ive never restored anything like this before, so ive no idea what im doing juat watching lots of videos like yours
I love your videos man! At the moment I'm trying to transform a normal chair into an arm chair
Love this brother 🙏🏻 glad you enjoyed them! Good luck with your chair! Send me a pic on Instagram when you’ve finished it 👍🏻
You can just use staples to hold the fabric down then glue buttons ❤
Could you use the pink foam to replace springs in a victorian chair .So remove all tge springs and replace with foam instead please
Great tip. My overlocker is giving me 5/8 inch. What can I do to get the 1/2 inch?

Beautiful chair, beautiful wood, beautiful work... and then, that awful fabric! Don't you hate it when you can't talk a customer out of their own bad taste?

Luv the twang... Each time you said (alf inch) my brain went to - pinch = nicking/stealing 😂😂❤❤

Haha! Too kind Carlos 🤣
I can't wait for your academy to start. I'm in the (very slow) process of upholstering 2 armchairs. I keep getting stuck, & refer to your channel all the time for help. Thank you for all your fab videos.
I work in home construction and our clients are boring too😂 I'm making myself a seat out of a vintage fur jacket so NOT boring, but also a tad intimidating. Thanks a lot for the content, appreciate it
A fur jacket sounds awesome!!
instant subscribe. this is exactly what I was looking for. I got a gorgeous antique chair from a dude's garage, but it's just the frame. Feeling a lot more confident approaching it now, thank you!!
Love this! Glad you found it helpful. Cheers for subscribing Adrian 😊🙏🏻
This isn’t a DIY, this is a professional work, very near 😍
That’s very kind, thank you! 😊🙏🏻
So how do I cut new foam for this shape? Mine is a bit different, it has wooden accents for the front of the arm rests that connects to a strip just below the seat section (believe it's from either the 70s or 80s with the color of the terry/velvet it's upholstered with) I really don't want to leave the old stuff on since I have allergies and the dust in it isn't good for me since I can't clean it out. Should I use the old sections to trace directly on the new or onto cardboard or drafting paper to make a template for the new foam? Thank you! Really appreciate this because I've been dying to fix this chair of mine for a year now but felt intimidated by the shape

ever count the staples in a chair?
There’s a metallic noise in the background of this video. Beautiful bench cushion!!!
NICE! Glad to see you using the Imperial system for measuring!
Cheers Darren! Yea I think most upholsterers (that I know anyway!) use inches to measure.
Is the piping cut on the straight grain? It didn't look like bias cut.
I can't tell which way the straight grain of the fabric should go on each piece. Can you clarify that, please?
A nap is sleep to us too😅. This is a different nap!
Hello fellow upholster! My father has been running his upholstery shop for the last 50 years and I've learned so much from him and hopefully will be taking the family ropes soon. I am so scared to be in my own but want nothing more to make his business bigger. I will be watching your videos for help when ever I need it! I have plans to do similar videos of my pieces too! Hope there's a audience 🙏
Good job ❤
