I'm friendly with them at work, but I don't view them as friends. Out of the building, out of their lives.

I'm very familiar with all your points. What I'd really like to see from studies is why the managers and corporations, who must know all this too, continue to not follow these rules and lose great people. It seems that these 5 reasons are known by everyone and for many decades, but still companies don't seem to care and continue as they have in the past. I do not believe it's because of lack of training or insight. I think it's proven that companies often do in house training for many employees and talk about these issues, yet they don't seem to make a difference.

I’m pretty good on my toes but I’m 98% sure I have undiagnosed selective mutism so… actually not that great apparently I keep saying I don’t know I have no experience so there’s no improvements but I can’t tell an employer that.

I used to just leave and go elsewhere, until my brother told me as a Christian I was running from the test. I am the type if you bully me we both will be out of a job. I am in a situation like this and it makes their arse itch because I won't leave. As I was in prayer the other day, The Lord spoke to me these words. I am the Lord your God, and vengeance is mine and I will repay. So humble yourself and see my glory. Once I took my eyes off of them, I am giving room for King Jesus to judge. If there are any sons and daughters of God experiencing this kind of treatment, humble yourself and work as unto the Lord and he will repay. Amen

Loved this but they are forcing me to train new employee who is replacing me. My contract is ending soon they are not going to renew. My manager is raising voice on me in lock doors to understand why I am not giving the knowledge transfer. How to handle this?

happyness at work? WTF is that, i don't work to be happy i work to earn money. i don't give af what i do between 7-16, it's not my time anymore. what i do to live: exchange time for money. my job: make sure my time is valuable. don't need to feel appreciated, i need money, i'm not a kid. no need to be the best, only difficult to replace. my boss isn't an ennemy, he's a coworker who have a different job than mine.

I'm currently a Q.A. Tech and I get nothing but negative criticism from my boss. It's amazing that I'm cool with my entire workplace but when dealing with her, it's constant pointing there finger, and you should be doing this, that, etc. And a constant resting bitch face every time we have a 1 on 1 meeting EVERY week. Understand my job, cool with my co-workers, hate my boss.

Two months within my past job , my manager started to belittle my mel.He was upset with me when a customer wanted me to assist her rather than him and told him about his rude ways and credit me on my behaviour. Some days he would speak down on me in front of my colleagues. I couldnt deal with the nonsense anymore at 3 months, I then decided to resign.Personally I believe I was a good employee, and I wasnt the first that he had issues with causing people to quit.

In healthcare at least, your friends are the people that help you out and in return you help them out. The time you don’t do something that will make their shift easier is when you’ll see if they’re really your friend or not.

Once i was asked a behavioural question and I said what I thought would be a good answer and him was pushing me to change my answer and then he told me "the right answer". I was rejected, but I think that you have to follow his line, otherwise could be issues. Also, that you had to write a timetable of what you did in the day (micromanage?)😮 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩

I was collecting my Social Security and still working full time, making a ton of money. they started nitpicking and documenting everything and just in general being pricks. I hung in there till I got fired and came out smelling like a rose. I retired in Panama. They are still there with their miserable jobs. 😂

My coworkers actively tried to kill me on two occasions. First they tried to loosen my cars lug nuts so the wheels would fly off. Next, I caught someone trying to cut my break lines on security cameras. Threatend to sue the company if they succeed in cutting them. Needless to say, they ran off after I told management I'm recording this attempt.

Health is more important than wealth. No thanks in staying in a toxic work environment. Money is important but your well-being is more important. Without your health, you cannot work. Best to quit or let them fire you. Just put on your resume that it was the end of your contract which is technically true. It will not affect your future employment even if your company makes you feel that you can never work anywhere else. You are not a prisoner. Not worth it when it affects your wellbeing and maybe your family because they are worried about you. Think back to your dream childhood job. Are you where you want to be now? You can change jobs no matter your age. It has no benefit to stick out a job you are miserable in. I know from experience. Thank you for this excellent advice for everyone 👍

If the people a recruiter is working with have poor expectations, it is the recruiters fault for not managing these expectations. Admittedly this doesn't excuse being rude or behaving unprofessionally. But it certainly isn't just a candidate problem.

It's a tragic thing that anticapitalism gets conflated with wokeology. Wokeology is actually capitalism in one of it's darkest forms. #medicalgaslighting I've never heard a valid argument in favor of capitalism. Proponents of capitalism only ever try to implement gaslighting and/or logical fallacies. Really. Try to have a sane, civil, honest conversation with any proponent of capitalism, and they'll prove my point. But if you like all manner of products within the capitalst matrix, if you own a business, and have employees. and you still want a much more sane and harmonious economic system, You're Not A Fucking Hypocrite. Don't let them silence you with that weak argument . It would be just as ridiculous to argue that one is a hypocrite for drinking city tap water, when they had no other options , and therefore one shouldn't be able consider better sources of water. Narcissistic personality disorder is an epedemic. And when they project "well the problem is nobody wants to work. " Ask them what landlords even fucking do . Ask them what the CEO of Starbucks actually does . Etc. No shade at seasons of nondoership. But shade @ projection. "so much depression, anxiety, stress & suicidality is caused by capitalism. we really really need to talk about how not being able to meet our basic needs and how giving away 80% of our days to jobs that drain & exploit us leads to serious mental health issues for a lot of people" - Alexis Isabel
