K&L Trainz is a small 3 member collaboration of rail enthusiasts lead by Steve Lerro, who together create high detailed steam locomotive add-ons for Trainz Simulator. Since it’s founding in March of 2012, K&L Trainz has grown exponentially each year and has an ever growing library of locomotives and rolling stock covering dozens railroads from both the US and Canada.
In March 2022, K&L Trainz celebrated their 10th Anniversary with the announcement of their first legacy reissue.
K&L Trainz is comprised of: Steve Lerro, Bill Klene & Mark Cole.

Which version of the S3 has the mars light and the horn, V1, V2, or V3, and how do I put them on?
All 3 have the mars light and horn. You add the mars light by click the ? button on the train tab and then click the engine. There is an extra setting you can check on or off to show the mars light.

Hey K&L, so just now I bought the Reading T1 and C&O 614, and I did the download process, but it says two errors. It says failed to open file, and unable to open CDP file. How can I fix this?

Man I just love the T-54s… I’ve seen the 1522 in person many times (only on static display) but I wish someone could restore it! If it were it should go to either the Illinois rr museum to doublehead with 1630 to St. Louis and back or run regular trains to KC

I feel like I've heard Bill's Voice in actual Railroad Documentaries that I've watched. However I'm not sure what company he narrated for.
I downloaded some freeware trains, like the PRR K4 and L1, but when I try placing them in a quick drive, their names are red and I can’t place them. Is there a way that I can fix it? Is it there a way that I can download its 2022 version?

The 1083 looks like a Baldwin Locomotive Works or the American Locomotive Company built Heavy Pacific with a bit of a bit of a similarity to L&N’s 4-6-2s. L&N had their earlier K series Pacifics from the K-1 to the K-2 classes with a top stationed headlight with a few other additional features. Case in point L&N 152 who is being restored to running condition is the only survivor of the L&N’s fleet of 4-6-2s with two L&N steam switchers both 0-8-0s. Not to mention several surviving L&N tenders including some belonging to the Big Emma 2-8-4 Berkshires and get this L&N wanted to preserve one of their Berks, but they were too heavy or couldn’t find a place that wanted one.
I hope Bill Ratner will narrate a promo for a NC&STL 576 promo or for the future one for Santa Fe 3751.

How can I put the trains from your website K&L Trainz into the game (Trainz Railroad Simulator 2022), even freeware downloads? (I use a MacBook btw)
Download the cdp files to your computer, then launch the game's Content manager, and drag the cdp into the Content Manager window. That will install them. Works for freeware and payware models.

Jointed Rail already has an amazing model of a GS-4 Daylight, and Trainz Forge has several GS locomotives (Although I prefer the JR model) that are free to download.

The TANE models will work in TRS22. I have them all working in my 22 game
