I really hope you respond. I want to get Trainz because your models are just amazingly done but I don't know which one to get. Can anyone tell me the recommended Trainz simulator please? I would greatly appreciate it. (btw I already know the models are supported by many different trainz simulators but I just want the one best for these models).

Mack-Book Pro yes, I only got to see it on VHS, but this is a favorite by far for me. My favorite locomotive and the whistle for the steam town ones

K&L thank you so much in bringing N0 261 to life. This is like your early christmas gift to us all. You stared this year super awesome with the fiction PRR FG-1 and now you end this year with 261 with a legendary train. thank you again so much.

A wonderful video! You did an excellent job modeling the 261. The in cab portion beginning at 4:44 looks as if you were able to utilize a photograph of the real thing. Kudos on a job well done.

Another powerful (still running) 4-8-4, it's very interesting to know what kind of railroads these engines come from and what stories they carry. Never seem to disappoint, Steve.

Great video, Steve. Milwaukee Road 261 is a beautiful S-3 steam locomotive. I do want to see this engine.

I noticed that you replaced the UP #844 with the RBM&N #425 (we needed a new model anyway). Here's a fun fact; the 425 used to be owned by the Gulf Mobile & Northern railroad (you probably know this), and I think you should include the livery when the 425 was in its GM&N days onto the engine as well.

from what i heard from other people i think the commissioner for 844 couldnt decided wether he wanted 844 or 425, i guess he made up his mind and chose 425 i guess

He said that he wanted to get a Union Pacific “pass” to distribute the locomotive for money. Otherwise he would get copyrighted.

Now I just wish somebody made a MILW FP7A and FP7B in Union Pacific pain scheme so I could recreate the copper country limited

one word for this video AMAZING i've always liked the 261 it's just a beautiful locomotive and i like that the set is with many of the matching Hiawatha passenger cars that the friends of the 261 own (i definitely understand that you couldn't make all the cars i've actually tried to do the research of the cars the group owns and i keep getting confused of which cars they own cause i'm not sure if they sold some of them like the lamberts point car cause it's not on the website no more and now have new ones) i just have been trying to know what the friends of the 261 own (i would like to see mth make the 261 it's the one engine they haven't made yet)

The Lackawanna disguise was for a round-trip planned during the grand opening of Steamtown in July 1995 from Scranton to Binghamton. Seeing as there are no Lackawanna Poconos preserved, the 261 was a perfect candidate. She was fitted with a DL&W whistle, headlight and bell for the excursion.
