Replacing screens , batteries, restoring or modifying broken devices is now a hobby .
I am amateur in all this but i enjoy doing it!

MacBook Pro 2016 count cycle battery 534 should change bettery?
There are more factors not only the cycle count , if the battery can still hold charge bo need to replace it . The battery in the video had to be replaced as it holds 30 min max

The screens for the SE 2020 are relatively cheap, do you consider fixing/ replacing it ?

The drone is cool , around 25 min flight time on single battery. Easy to fly and quite compact. It’s me the problem not taking good videos .

It’s the same connector on the programmator i use and no additional flex is needed to modify the health .

This device has a lot of different firmwares and a lot of different applications. I just showed 1 of them

Ye, what can you do with machines like this? I can only imagine gutting them to then replace with some mini-pc hardware and make it go fast enough, in a chassis that really is still incomparable to most laptops kek
They are actually still useful, 8gb ram and intel i3 can get you to some browsing , movies and light tasks . The only replaceable thing here is the SSD . As for completely replacing the internals , that’s interesting idea . Might look into this !
@@BalkansWay I have a very old MBP that I hacked to update to a newer OS (the first one with dark mode I think) but it's super slow I have been wanting to try and install an SSD but not sure how much it can speed up things when it's on a Core Duo. So I was thinking either trying Linux or gut it completely and try installing internals from the latest intel I can find for cheap... but I've never done jobs like that so not sure if I would manage to fit it in, despite the internals of newer macs are very compact and there should be space. I have no idea how to use the ports though, which would also be slower because old USB... I can't find anyone doing anything like this, dunno if you have any idea/suggestions to point me in a good direction 😇
@@unleashthedog a lot can be done ( i think ) and every small update you do will make it run better . But the question is is it worth it ? If you sum up the price of all the things you want to change, might as well buy newer model . However if you are like me and wanna do it just for the experience it might actually be cool . The older models can get even 2x hard drives if you take out the cd player . You might be wanna look up if someone is selling the entire motherboard with better cpu / graphics. And yes not a lot of people do it as the newer models just outperform all the upgrades you can do .
@@BalkansWay yeah i did look on ebay and the boards seemed pretty cheap to me, but that was months ago. ye my dad that handed me down the mbp did have a second drive where the DVD unit is. I know Intel macs are now outdated but I just like the idea of the DIY project + it can be useful to then have windows and linux still - in theory at least. I'm using an Intel Mac Mini for work handed by the company and for web design/development is totally fine I kinda wanted a second machine to take on holiday type of thing, since i have a phat gaming laptop as primary (albeit old now as well)
I still boot mine from time to time. I bought the GTA4 expansion a few months ago, and I still try to complete all the Arkham City challenges. RDR I still on the lookout for, as it never went down to an acceptable price (for a game that old - and the remaster doesn't look any better really)
