Thank you!
Very nice.
Thank you!
Great tie, Pete. Tied some just the way you directed and then did a couple substituting India Brahma hen for the CDL. Came out looking pretty buggy also.
Thank you! That sounds like a deadly combo! I'm a fan of anything that ends up looking buggy haha!
They can be such lazy eaters it’s funny
They can be goofy eaters for sure haha. But they pull like a freight train! Love fighting these fish!
Snickle Fritz.......Great job Pete
Thanks, Ken! Snicklefritz for the win!
Great video and audio Pete! Are you measuring your CDC and CDL before tying it?
Thanks, Mike! I do measure the CDL, but the CDC I prefer the messy mix of whatever is on the feather... for the most part haha! Thanks for watching!
do you guys have these for sale??
Unfortunately we do not, but we sell all the materials to make it come to life!
I fish a variation of this fly called "the ticket" in the streams and rivers in colorado and it is probably my #1 go to dropper because it always gets me a fish.
That's awesome! Definitely been a lot of fish that have fallen victim to this fly haha! Cheers!
Good stuff! Love the new look in the shop!
Thanks, Dan! It's definitely coming together!
Congratulations!!
Thank you!
Hi...I'm curious how well these materials hold up to fishing; or, more precisely, to catching fish. Those materials are so delicate--how well do they hold up?
The way they hold up depends on the way they're applied and also the target species. The toothier the fish the shorter the fly duration. When you're fishing for a bunch of salmon there is a good chance the hook will bend out before the fly gets too tattered to fish. Hope that helps!
Hi Pete. I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my best friend to cancer last year and it still hurts. It's such a beautiful color! Hang in there Pete.
Really appreciate that. Sorry for you loss.
Nice update especially with the Grundens gear. Congrats on your special day Josh!!
Thank you so much!
Your updates are getting better guys. Congrats on your wedding Josh.
Thank, Ken! Really appreciate that!
what an awesome pattern
Thank you! The fish agree!
Ukuran tubuh semakin besar semakin kesulitan mendapatkan makanan 😢
Awesome vid🙌🙌What are you using to video?
Thank you! For this trip it was a DSLR- the Nikon Z6 II. Amazing little workhorse!
Gidday Pete, fantastic job, great explanations of techniques. Thanks.
Thank you, Ken!
Nice looking tie Pete! Definitely have to try them. Always enjoy you and Josh’s videos !
Thank you! Really appreciate it!
as always, a great tie. thanks
Thanks, Ron!
Nice easy tie. Could double as a hopper too. Thanks.
Thanks, Mike! Would definitely work as a hopper!
Last year i bought a new spey setup....everything, rod, reel, line....i had a free hour to get it in the water and hooked into a chum....youve never known the fear of having around $150 of 12 minute old line down stream, 90ft into the backing on a pissed off chum who is still runnning..
That's epic! Have to put the breaks to them right away haha!
Great pattern is it ok to have that hook is so far forward on the vice ?
It could have been a little further back, but once the camera starts it's sometimes easier to just roll.
So many cool fish! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you!
Must have missed this one, great job.
Greatly appreciated, Ken! You rock!
Beautiful looking fish, amazing spot, sounded like you were struggling getting up that little hill Josh 😊
Thanks, Ken! Haven't done anything with real elevation in years haha!
Great vid - love these types of adventures. Good stuff!
Thanks, Dan! Such a rewarding trip!
Awesome content. Love those big red cutties. A very special trip.
Thank you! These fish were amazing!
Great stuff guys, great new products.
Thanks, Ken! We appreciate your support!
What kind of line are you using. Floating, full intermediate or some sort of integrated sink tip.
Floating lines for the majority of the time. We do carry a rod with either a sink tip attached or an intermediate line for those deeper pools and runs!
@@SpawnFlyFish awesome. Great video. Can’t wait to try my luck this season. It’s almost time.
Whats the fly you're using called
It's called the Rocktober Caddis... we have a tying tutorial under that name!
I like wearing polorized glasses in the airport. It’s like rappers wearing sunglasses inside the club
Love it haha! Keep doing you!
Will there be a follow up video from your alpine trip?
Good luck in Colorado Josh. Looking forward to seeing the videos and scenery. Nice of Pete to let you raid his fly boxes.
Thanks, Ken! Stay tuned for the video!
Was just out in SW Colorado backcountry chasing cutthroat. Super spooky fish but spectacular scenery and nice change up from fishing in Washington. Have fun!
Couldn't agree more! Thank you!
Claret is underrated in tying flies . In the u.k. the mallard and claret is a good wet fly. I respect and am sorry for our one of our spawn family has died but not forgotten
Claret is definitely a winning color. Thank you for your kind words.
You guys always come up with some great looking patterns !🎣
Thank you! Means a lot!
What a beautiful fly and tribute to Colleen Pete! She blessed me with so many amazing flies!
Thanks, Mona! She truly enjoyed watching people catch fish on her flies!
@SpawnFlyFish yes sir, she did! She created my favorite go-to that we dubbed Mona Gold.🥰
Loved this one!!!!
Thank you! Always a fun day when shop dog Koda gets to hang out!
Sorry to hear about your friend Pete . She was absolutely right about the color Claret !! 🎣 Ted G
Thanks, Ted. She was definitely right about the claret!
I used to blend a leech dubbing with superfly IMI seal dub in claret and hoarders bloody black with some ice dub was a killer leech color. Superfly is no longer around. Your new Nightmare semi seal dub is so close a match I know this one will be a winner !
Im sorry to hear about the passing of your friend. Great tribute Pete. Thankyou. R.I.P Colleen.
Thank you, Ken.
Always enjoy your shop updates ! You guys are great. Ted G.
Thanks, Ted! Have a great weekend and catch some fish!

That is a rare find! Awesome bag!
Nice! I'm looking forward to the next class I'll be able to attend
Sounds like a plan!
Half capes is the Ticket.
Definitely a great option!
Woahhhhh!!! Tying some up right now. Saw these on your website and was praying for a tutorial on yt. You guys and gals are the coolest!
Glad you're tying some! They are a fish magnet! Thank you!
Wow pretty insane how that rod broke hope whoever made that rod had a good warranty on them! I love chasing cutt throat as well when the steelhead aren't around I chase cutt throat there such a blast
No worries on the rod warranty! All good. The coastal cutthroat are a blast and definitely one of our favorites!
Fun video guys! Thanks for sharing! The owl was a nice bonus!
Thanks for watching! The owl was a really nice surprise!
Great video guys. Fantastic to see you putting those great products and amazing flies to their intended use. I know of a fly shop where you can get a new rod 😏
Hahaha! Thanks, Ken!
