This vid has been extremely helpful. I have shown it so a few other mages. Just by watching this vid it has increased all of our damage anywhere from 2k-6k. You broke it down in a easy to understand format and did a excellent job. Thank you for posting this and we look forward to future guides in the next patch from you.

Is Glyph of Frostfire not worth the DoT? Would it not add damage to Combustion, on top of keeping a dot going the entire fight?

Arcane and Fire are different rework the stats im specced both and raid both but everytime i wanna change up i go back and do some reforge tweeking

Its a good guide, but as others have said its a bit dodgy on quality. Not sure if its cus of the aspect ratio you are using, your over compressing it, or a combination of those two things. Certainly for me on widescreen monitor its pretty poor even on 1080p. Maybe experiment a bit more with fraps and aspect ratios to lose your borders after editing/upload.

with arcane spec i do over 16k dps,with fire i do 9,5k.

@Engeven i have to say haste, sucks for arcane when i was all fire fire and upgraded to arcane, i was doing 17k, and when i reforged and changed all of that i did about 22k

Also, how close are you to a kill once u manage to nail p3 with 2 meteors? how long does it take to master p4? seems straight forward but how is it in comparison to the other phases in terms of difficulty?

Does anyone have any tips for phase 3? Our gear is fine but we never get 25 people to stay alive and we enter phase 3 with a death or 2, last night we had him to 11% when third set of meteors spawned. Any tips other than sorrowsong? anything melee can do? it seems like a really tight dps check.

ty so much for clearing up the conservation phase i was having a major problem with mana ppl were telling me for conserve phase to make sure arcane blast is stacked to 4 before using missles with this guide its helped alot and ive noticed a significant dps increase

@Excesspace Use Arcane explosion, the dps with enough mobs up is comparable to fire aoe (without combustion). Especially if you have Imp. AE specced. If there aren't too many mobs up, just go into conserve phase so you don't have to drink every 2 pulls and slow down the run; also your CDs will be up for bosses.

I really don't like how you just toss out a static stat priority - especially with arcane which stats are best are heavily dependent on your gear level. For new mages just starting out, crit is ahead of mastery. Only once your gear starts improving does mastery pull ahead.

(continued) What would you consider a good trash priority? Right now I just Blizzard till there are 3 or so mobs left, and then AB + Missle proc... It's not great dps, and i don't care about topping charts on trash, i just want advise for effectiveness of the group. (fyi, i know I may have misspelled!)

I know you would rather post comments on your forums, however, I can't access those kinds of sites from work. I just have a quick question... I don't get to raid... Almost ever! So the extent of my daily play is Heroic's + ZA/ZG. I completely understand all aspects of the rotation, but it is always boss rotations people discuss. Like i mentioned before, I really only run heroics, and as everyone knows heroics are extreamily trash orianted.

fuckin fire sucks,...i wish it was good because its fun and looks cool, but it sucks. Pyroblast, with a 3 second cast time should do 3 times as much damage. Fukin arcane is boring as shit....1111111111111 2 3 11111111111123 1111111111111111111111111111111112 11 3 13 3 3 1 1 3 3 11111 2 3....very complex rotation, and arcane blast,the most powerful spell in the game, has a mind blwing animation.....arrg wtf
