I prefer automation and robots over “hand built” because you get better precision and consistency.

Very professional production which complimented the yacht manufacturer. The only drawback was the negative psychological impact of having the same music theme throughout the whole production. By half way through this was getting decidedly boring. Have a new music theme for each phase.

One of the Last Saw Mills in Central California, in Terra Bella By Porterville and the Hwy 99. uses similar technology techniques, and sustainable Forestry methods, if Californians want to go back in time when California Republic was a Mining and Lumber State, I highly recommend scheduling a Tour at the Terra Bella Saw mill. 2:12 I tried to find out how many Americans die from fallen power lines every year and stumbled across the fact that approx. 62 American farm workers die annually from making contact with overhead power lines in a vehicle. 😑 Y'all should really rethink whether it's not better off putting them underground like the rest of the first world.

2:16 Reminds me of a cliche movie scene. Like, the protagonists are sneaking through a plywood factory, and then the operator, who has no idea there's anyone on the premises, flips the switch and turns everything on, and puts the protagonists in peril. Except the operator would be eating chips or something. Lmao

I don't see any mention of sheets being assembled with the grains being crossed at 90 degrees to each other. This is what gives plywood its strength.

Glued to 15 layers? Half inch ply is only 4. They must have to slice it again sideways to get your different thicknesses.

Biggest PR scam in history. The energy, material, time, money it takes to produce these monsters (not counting all the efforts to install them on the bottom of the sea floor). These things DO NOT pay themselves back in energy.

I grew up in sawmills. (well got older anyway) Any sawmill has very little waste. The most efficient mills use almost everything that comes from the production of lumber making processes. They will burn the bark & larger pieces of scrap to make steam, (for use in the production or to generate electricity) the small pieces will be used in making particle board, a lot of sawdust will be used in making OSB. Sawdust can be used as sound deadening materials as well.
