Download page is blank for a reason: if heavily advertised, this game is a very easy target for takedown. That's why the word Zelda isn't even mentioned there.

I love this game for sure, but I do have one issue with it. For some reason; Death Mountain has a major glitch for me. I slide down one of the elevators; and than end up dropping and get stuck in the ceiling on the wrong screen. I'm not entirely sure WHY this happens, but I can't find a way to progress due to it.

Thanks for the video! Damn, I wish there was more information on this matter. I'm immensely grateful to Pixel for blessing us with Cave Story, and Nicalis' boss definitely seems like a shady and unsavoury person, but I think the whole IP stealing thing and Keroblaster being an allegory for it is a bit too much of a conspiracy theory. I get that Nicalis has garnered a bad reputation and rightfully so, but I wouldn't go as far as to accuse them of that kinda thing, especially when there's little to no evidence of it having happened.

This game holds a special place in my childhood, i still wish the story had continued in some sort of medium like even a manga. I always wanted to know what happened to mags father and flesh out linears backstory with him. I remember trying to get a high score at the end thinking a perfect SSS would unlock a secret ending....i could never get anything past B. all those appraisal items and idk how anyone could finish the game in under 14 hours with the TOWER. I still hope one day this game gets some sort of reboot. Hahahaha i remember thinking Eugene had pooped his pants.

Thanks for this video, Zelda 2 has always been one of my favorite Zelda games. I loved the idea of leveling up and getting experience points to get stronger. It just needed a few tweaks for it to be a better game, however I do hope that nintendo does make a remake of the game, kinda like what they did with Links awakening.

Not exactly. Need to correct this, their actually was a way to save without game overing yourself, it required a second controller and doing a particular input, it would then end the game allowing you to save without dying. If I recall right it was. Press start on controller 1, then Up Start on Controller two.

Speaking as a die hard OG Zelda 2 fan, I think the problem was not so much absolute difficulty... as the difficulty *curve* being poorly thought out. Death Mountain is this huge speedbump to progression that happens entirely too early in the game. The Dairas in particular would have been a lot more manageable if that section came after downstab.

As someone who is very left-wing, a lot of the music I listen to is very edgy, very politically incorrect, contains some uncomfortable lyrical content. But a lot of the time, that's kind of the point. Art is often about making the listener feel uncomfortable, to show the song's narrator to be a very flawed, problematic but real person or even to bring up uncomfortable truths.

I did that pogo game probably 30 times before winning it. By far my least favorite part of the game. But then I found out after you get the upgraded chicken spell you have a ridiculous amount of control over the pogo compared to link's form and you can do it every single time in about 15 to 20 seconds. Just wait until you have that spell and there's zero challenge to it at all. This game was great. I've already completed it 2 more times with the randomizer. If you randomize keys and p-bags though, you're probably going to want to lower the amount of crystals you need for the last palace because good luck finding all of them otherwise.

Great game but the jump mechanics for the pogo and to get the extra's are terrible. After 1000 attepmts I gave up, which is a pitty as it means you cant get to all the extra sections. Need a trainer for people who aren't able to dedicate hundreds of hours to the same section to figure out the insanely unique and specific jump mechanics. For this I will mark it down 2 points to 8 out of 10.

This remake is quite impressive, specially for what it DIDN'T change, when doing something to "fix" a game people can be tempted to just change several core elements of it and make basically a different game altogether, so kudos for that Unfortunately its not for me, the elements I dislike about Zelda II are nor fixed by this remake and I dont find Zelda II a very fun game to play at all, I only played it for the sense of completion and when doing it like this, playing this remake with all the QoL changes and extra content gives me the "you didn't finished the game" vibes, definitely an amazing option for people who already like Zelda II and wants to play an extended version of it, but I dont think it fixes the game for anyone who could never get into it in the first place
