Does this work with mint?
Arch BTW?
DFS has GUI now
But you have a GUI. I don't want to install a GUI, I need the custom live to be headless and only with a webserver
Wow i lost 15 GB of disk space
IDK WHY THESE COMMENTS ARE SAYING ITS HELPFUL WHEN ITS NOT IM TRYING TO MAKE UBUNTU 18.04 LOOK LIKE XP BUT IT IS JUST SUCH A FRICKIN MESS
WHAT KEY DO YOU PRESS 3:18 BRUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Thank you so much! I do felt nostalgic when I got to the end. It is really easy to set up. The only thing I would say is for people doing it with Ubuntu 23 or newer versions, I had to: -> Before starting the mod, install updates, and specially stop snpad and manually update it -> Once the script is done, it fails copying some files, so you will need to copy the themes from the folder of the project to the .themes, and the same for the icons * As a side note: I did on a VM, so once the script is done, just logging off didn't work, I needed to completely restart the machine. So if this happens don't worry, just restart and then everything should work. Hope this is useful, and THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE WORK AND EASE TO INSTALL! ^_^
Indeed, for 99% of people, the security factor is pure marketing. I use a VPN, but for the geolocation factor mainly. However, it is true that VPNs helps you stay “more hidden”. For example, if you access any website on a coffee shop, even if it is HTTPs, anyone can find out you reach that site. And, the website can store information about you, like your IP address, and with that some information. However, it doesn't guarantee your info is safe, as it is in the hands of the VPN company. But sometimes, the VPN company may be safer than the site you are trying to reach. So I do believe there is a small security factor, though this is very debatable, and shouldn't be used as a selling point, as it has A LOT of nuances. Good video tough! This kind of content is super helpful!!!
You are my HERO TYSM
Friend can't install emulators on my Debian, can you help?
ew bloatware
good video lad thx
Is this actually a package manager for LFS?
@AhmedFaisal13 it is not a dedicated package manager but it does act like a regular package manager
@@LinuxPanic playing a lot with (B)LFS, I always wished there is some kind of dependency calculator. I made dozens of LO. Draw charts to manually visualize deps and sub deps and sub-sub deps... Really silly thing.
FIRST here in the first minutes
Can it make the terminal just as obsolete, as on Windows, MacOS, and yes, Android 😮? Believe it or not, but if Google wouldn't do something with the Linux terminal (tons of IT experts also don't care about), Android would be no more "successful", than all of your PC Linux distros combined. Instead of that, it has over 70% of global users, and all of the wonderful potential such a market opens up!
Thnx from germany for this vid. worked great
That did it. Definitely need that amd. Thanks bro.
What do you put in the web browser to get into pi hole (my brain is fried and I can't remember)
The ip of the pi Example 192.168.1.20/admin
@@LinuxPanic thx
you literally didn't make Wallpaper Engine on Linux work 😂
the lenghts people will go to not use kde...
you can never take my windows XP desktop away from me.
easy way : install steam use it with proton detailed way :
@@guestsneezeplayz I actually tried that. It doesn't work.
@@LinuxPanic oh i was dumb i forgot doesnt work
@guestsneezeplayz No its all good, I thought it would've worked like that as well.
@@LinuxPanic i'm working on my own version of proton Plustron for more app store
I'd love to feature it when it's released.
For me, it doesn't matter which repositories I pull from. I've moved from the city to the country. Went from 2 Gbps to 50 Mbps... Oh, the depths of my despair...
doesnt work :(
Why not go for the latest, 24.04?
Because the intention is to go for as many operating systems as possible. And 20.04 isn't end of life until April 2025
less bloatwere
@@guestsneezeplayzI've tried running 24 and it's awful
@@John-iy7xo Dont use bloatware
Not trying to be mean or anything but if you're going to make a "how to" video, it would be helpful to show all the steps required to accomplish the task. I'm new to linux and don't know how to install the flatpack.
Do we hear dogs barking in your videos????? This is fucking annoying as hell bud.
2:30 Have you moved again?
At the time this video was recorded I was in Australia.
I think they solved the issue, I did not faced any error, sudo ./W9D12-Stable.sh installed wine9
Nice video, but Im not able to launch generated ISO. What could be wrong ? Medium is not readable
I thought it was about Sherlock not the installation ;)
this works with minor issues keyring really annoying add keyring sync issues
its nice you left the errors in the video, feels like a very natural linux experience

Thanks so much for this tutorial!! I'm new to using a Linux system and couldn't get Lutris to work. This was so easy to follow and I had no issues. Thanks again!!
A burst of positivity!
Legos From Scratch..
hi great video , i have a question please i want to use my integrate's labtop camera on linux but i fail each time for exemple when using cheese i got the error message no device found , is there a solution please
the chmod command does not work for me
So glad i came across this. I have an old laptop (acer aspire 1) that had a corrupted hard drive running xp and hoping to get this running on it and do a few other common upgrades to the thing to get it running as quick and efficiently as possible.
Use it with a vpn, and you're hooked ! Also, make a movie server now you're talking !.
Bro, some of the comments are vicious 😂. Thanks for the news, keep it coming!
Invest in a tripod my man, make the camera look at you straight ahead or straight down, not up. This is…unflattering.
what a weird video, the location on the roof, the constant barking of the dog, your camera angle, no visual aids, you just reading off a peace of paper ... isn't a blog the better option for you ?
The dogs I couldn't control barking because they were next door neighbours. I've always filmed videos in strange places and I just wanted to make sure I was feeding accurate information in the video.
just like every linux user. liminal existence leading to ultimate failure every time.
interested in what you have to say but the dog is too much
It was the neighbours dogs so unfortunately I couldn't control the barking.
Question: what if latest version of Sherlock does not contain requirements.txt? How to download it and where are those requirements located at?
Same question
Cool but can you do a tutorial geolocating my dad?
