    This is confusing because others have shown and stated it can charge a 120v and pass through if you setup the mode in the app.

    Here's a reddit post: I use mine with 240v output (into my generator transfer switch) while charging via 120v AC input. If you don't want it to continuously be charging to keep your battery full you can disable charging by scheduling charging at a different time/frequency. When charging is disabled, one phase of your 240v output will be powered by AC (passthrough), the other phase by your battery.

    Seems you may have not setup the unit in the app for your 240v pass-through to work correctly

    Concerning pass through: if you are connected to a generator to recharge battery/run devices, the 30 amp plug doesn't work/support? Thank you.

  • @ronbridegroom8428
    @ronbridegroom84286 сағат бұрын

    Yes the 30 amp plug on the front does work. If you use the AC input on the front, and set to Fast, you can input up to 1800 watts at 120 volts and get up to 7,200 watts out at 240 volts the only unit that can do this. If you are using the AC input on the side you have to input at least 7,200 watts for the 30 amp plug on the front to output power also

    @@TheSolarLab The 30A DC output is limited to 378W and not intended for home backup. Based on other review vids, it's designed to be stationary, with the option to be portable if needed. You'd have to get the Smart Home (sub) panel 2 to fully utilize the system.

    To be fair, a transfer switch does prevent any back-feeding into the main and is a safer option long term. Old Main breakers can often not break completely allowing some current to flow back through the lines. The down side of a TS is limited circuits. At least this one gives you 10. But the best price found is around $450, without the genny cord

  • @mschaus
    @mschausКүн бұрын

    Hey great channel, but here a major misstep -- there is not really any such thing as "Watts per hour" (energy acceleration?). You're looking for Watt-hours. I'm sure you know this and brain farted for this video but it might be worth a clarification in the description. 100W for one hour is 100Wh (Watt-hours). Watts (power) is a rate of energy usage, while Watt-hours is an amount of energy. Similarly, calling something a "1000 Watt battery" doesn't make much sense since the units are getting mixed up again. You would describe a battery as something like 1000Wh (capacity/amount) with a continuous output capability of 2000W (power/rate) [but more typically described in amps].

    Doesn’t the Hysolis last twice as long (6000 cycles)? If so, the price comparison doesn’t matter since you’ll have to buy two EcoFlow delta pro Ultras during one Hysolis lifespan.

  • @TheSolarLab
    @TheSolarLabКүн бұрын

    They just advertise a different number as far as i remember. EcoFlow advertises 3500 to 80% & then 6000 to 60% (somewhere in the fine print) & Hysolis is the exact same.. they just advertise the 6000 cycles to make it look better. They never say "6000 to 80%" likely because it is not. most these batteries are the same!

    An added benefit of this vs the professionally installed set ups is this is mobile, though it's heavy and a pain to move. So if you have a major disaster you can take power with you when fleeing. Also, you don't have to worry about having some "professional" cutting corners or making a mistake. I do want to know how the longevity compares to the professional kits though.
