The goal of the TabletClass KZread Channel is to provide clear and understandable videos on many educational topics mainly in math and science. On the channel you will find various playlists and videos that explain the concepts of math including Algebra, Geometry and more advance math like Pre-Calculus. Also you will find playlists in other areas of math to include test preparation for the GED, HISET, TASC and several other exams. Additionally, many videos focus on how to homeschool math. All the videos are made by John Zimmerman, an experienced middle and high school math teacher. John also has a background in engineering and spent several years in the military as a US Marine and Naval Officer. John’s full math courses can be found at www.tcmathacademy.com.

woo hoo got it 43/12 PEMDAS and a lot of conversions... thanks for the fun.
Technically none of them are correct because the question is invalid. We don't use mixed numbers like 2¾ in a mathematical expression like that. They’re OK for expressing a single value in isolation but they’re not correct notation within a mathematical expression. If we assume you wrote the beginning of the question correctly as 2 + ¾ +… or 11/4 +… then the answer is 43/12. Interesting that you present the correct answer as an improper fraction but you didn’t use an improper fraction in the question.
Too long videos
43/12
Thank you.
Got it. Good exercise.
Don’t add to many factors in solving the problem the simpler the better
3 7/12
43/12
That's an elementary level problem. Elementary 4. In my classes, it was PEDMAS instead of PEMDAS. Same thing, different way of writing it. 43/12 can't be reduced. As 43 is the 14th prime number. Yes, I DID memorize the prime numbers up to 100.
a) 43/12=3 7/12
43/12
165
A) 3 7/12
Real answer is 3 7/12, but you will say 43/12, which is not the final answer
Both answers are correct, though yours is a mixed fraction form while the other is in the form of improper fraction
Answer is A: 43/12
43/12 is an improper fraction; the final answer is 3+7/12.
One thing I've noticed while tutoring at the local middle school and Jr college: an improper fraction is now the preferred answer rather than adding in a division task.
Nothing wrong with improper fractions. Expressing an answer like this as an improper fraction is normal. Particularly if, as is often the case, you're working out the value because you need to do something with it (more calculations, substitute it back into an equation or formula, or whatever).

Thank you
Got it right! Yay! Love these!❤

Nieustannie jestem zdumiony głębią wiedzy i doświadczenia członków tej społeczności. To upokarzające.🐱
Love your content food for the brain keep up the good work thanks
I agree❤
Easy as pi! Option C is the only logically sized number. 10+10+2.5pi. Done in my head.
5
In other words 2 useful numbers ( 1 and -1 ) and 4 useless numbers ( aka complex or imaginary numbers )
The answer depends on if tax is added before or after the doubling.
Here in Victoria, Australia we learnt it as BODMAS...brackets, of, divide, multiply, add, subtract
The answer is wrong
I love your classes! Thanks for all your help.
Yes, been away from Math for 60+ years. With a bit of practice on TabletClass site, especially review of PEMDAS, the Math seems to still be in the old brain somehow. Thanks, we here look forward to more.
Ummm okay, what tutorial do I go to if I didn’t understand this at all
So I’m going into 6th grade but I don’t understand sertan kinds of math
Original price = $5.84
Pythagoras.... the sum of the squares of the opposite sides equals the square of the hypotoneuse..... not so here.
Do you have study guides for this exam?
🙏
huh i dont understand
1.07 × 2 × price = $12.5 Solve. Easy problem.

to include sales tax you would multiply the amount by 1.07. So to remove the sales tax you simply divide the amount by 1.07. Then you're left with the new higher cost of the coffee, the coffee doubled. So you then divide this amount by 2. ( 12.5 / 1.07 ) / 2 = 5.84 (approx)

Which number, not what number.
As usual it took you 20 minutes to say what you could have said in 2 minutes
I fairly quickly did it in my head. Can't believe it took a 20-minute video to explain this simple problem.
my less than 1 year old calculator (Helix Oxford OX-240) makes the answer 0.8. Just goes to show that Amazon are selling junk.
