Jack, I am so sorry for you and Kat because of the loss of your great friend there. There is no time or stage in life that death of friend/loved one/ family member gets any easier. As long as you keep them in your heart and mind they will always be with you in thought and spirit. Go easy on yourself and take your time navigating forward. Grief, loss, and healing all take time and everyone goes at their own pace. You have a wonderful life ahead you. It may no feel like now of for a while..... but it will get better. I 100% guarantee it.

I grew up in a military family where loved ones often left (for much longer than 6 months) and headed to areas of danger. When I was 16, I spent a summer in South America with relatives. I became SO homesick I wanted to return home. I really had to talk myself into staying and focusing on enjoying the new and different life I was experiencing. I silently acknowledged what I was feeling but it was very embarrassing to admit to anyone. It was hard getting over the hurdle. But, I just reminded myself that it was only for the summer. Now I can say it was an amazing trip. I am so glad I did not give into my fear and temporary emotions.

I followed you only because you were the wisest young man in your family to refuse the covid vax. Here is the comment I left on your parents channel after seeing they caved in to the pressure. "They con'd the world on their Heap of Shitttttttt vax didn't they? I stood my ground and refused even though they fired me as a 30 year Emergency Room nurse there was no way I was taking a mandiated anything. And I'm not a anti-vaxer . But when they mandiated and started giving away money, and donuts, beer etc.... I said FU. Proves it was the best decision of my life. Sometimes you have to take a stand no matter the cost."

Your home sickness will fade with time and the longer you are there the more friends you will make and before you know it, it will be over and you'll be sad your leaving. And how many more hits and knock down can you handle. The answer is always one more. What doesn't kill you makes you strong. So enjoy them knowing they are for your good. Good luck.

Just continue to follow your heart, never hide your emotions, we all learn in the moment, and like Skateboarding if you don’t fall and fail…you will never go forward, you will only stay in the safe zone. jack, second vid in here... ill tell you this from my experience. when i was 14, i moved away to live in a boarding school being away from my parents for the first time. although i have my friends with me, i felt really home sick. it wasnt just me but all of the newbies felt that. we all wepted calling our parents hoping to get them to take us home. this feeling lasted for roughtly about a month until slowly one by one, we started to accept that we much grow up. when you are not homesick anymore things will get much better. also, do not forget to be there for your sister because im sure she is also feeling it but might be putting up a front to show you how strong she is. you will be fine.

Jack, just as everyone else in the comment section, ive watched your fam from the beginning but havent since covid. today i find that you are not with your parents anymore and have your own channel.. i think this is awesome and will be following your journey as well. ive said it before and will say it again, your whole family are such beautiful people both physically and personality. you guys rock and i will be living vicariously thru your lens as well. there is a hack to help with the bugs and ants that i picked up.. u could try to see if it works for u in Tonga. the hack works for me here in the states. boil about 300mL of water, add a 2 tbsp of cloves to boiling water and let it boil on slightly under high heat til it turn golden/brownish. then add 2 tbsp of baking soda.. it will fizz a bunch but when the fizz stop take it off the stove and add in a few bay leaves. let it cool down. then u can put it in a spray bottle to spray around the house. i spray a sht ton on the outside walls and foundation of the house. i hope that helps.
