THANKS YOU HELPED ME A LOT BRO
No problem!
Why don't you leave your work items at work? I started doing that recently and has made my commute much more enjoyable because I no longer have to carry around so much junk that I barely use.
Good point but there’s two main reasons: 1. We have hybrid working so sometimes I work in the office and sometimes I work from home 2. At work there’s hot desking so I might be sat on a new desk each day
The rOtring 600 is a great desk pencil but its very easy to bend the pipe while carrying it, if you are lucky you can bend it back. The rOtring 800 has a retractable pipe which makes it easier to carry. The 600 is quite robust in 2mm but then you have to deal with 2mm lead.
This is a good point! It's not something that I've had to deal with yet but I could definitely see how the pipe at the tip of the pencil could get bent. I tend to have it stored in a pencil holder which makes it a bit 'safer' I hope
I didn't realize that most of your work was done on your laptop, but for some reason I did anticipate you to have a ton of notebooks! HAHAHA! + I was shocked to see how your calculator is still working despite having it around for more than 5-6 years 😮
Yeah I just really like the analogue way of writing things by hand. It allows for much more creative notes than being confined to the limits of whatever software I used to use. Also, yeah, that calculator has been through its fair share of use haha
The pencil is so underated
Agreed! It’s definitely one of my favourite items!
It's our thesis season and this video helped us (my groupmate and I) a lot! Very informative as well! 😁 + additionally, two videos in a week?! wow!
Glad it was helpful! Yes, and even more videos to come too :)
Nice video. One step to take after reading the introduction is to read the first sentence of each paragraph - that should give you the overview, since each section should be written with sentences in falling order of importance
This is a really good point!
Good video. Thanks for taking the time to make it. Much appreciated.
No problem!
The advice and the level of knowledge I gained, is just phenomenol.
I'm glad you found it useful!
Another reason you should read a paper backwards because you can then get to match with the author's thinking flow as they first had the intuition then gradually proved all the helping lemmas to get the main result
Very useful video! I am new to reading research papers and found these tips very clear and easy to take on board 😄 looking forward to more advice from your channel!
Glad you found it useful! Thanks for the support
Thank you for this nice useful video❤
Glad it was helpful!
I am a 2nd year physics major from India. I love your way of explaining different things.❤❤ Nice video I have also so much interest in reading physics related theory and research paper.
Thanks for the support!
Thank you so much for taking the time to make a video. It's been a long time since you last uploaded, so we're really happy to hear some updates from you!! ✨
Thanks for the continued support! Looking forward to making videos again :)
Awesome Lewis! Can’t wait to see more content in the near future
👍🏻
Do you recommend the astrophysics course at Cardiff or do you suggest elsewhere? Thanks for the video!!
I love space
Cuz I want to be astrophysicist
…
Am 10 will I understand the book?
Very helpful video thank Dr Lewis
Chemistry is also used in astrophysics, isn't it?
Have you ever had difficulty in one of your courses and repeated that course?
please anyone tell me complete course details to become astrophysicists after class 12th in india
Thank you my friend..iam going to take Bsc Physics this year and it is my dream to become an Astronomer or an Astrophysicst..u helped me very much
Best of luck!
Me too..but applied in collages for bsc physics and then planned to take msc in astrophysics..
Tho perhaps a minor contribution, Lewis Cooper failed to mention gravitational effects on space-time. While the speed of light will remain constant within all inertial frames, the observed speed of light is affected by mass when observed from outside the inertial frame. For example, the externally observed speed of light is significantly slower when it passes through a gravitational field. This is a well known phenomenon predicted by classical physics.
what pants/where from?
Sir Actually just finished my class 10 I am keen interested in astrophysicist and astronomy but subjects like maths and physics marks are not upto the level where I would be confidence to further go with my interest and I am slowly lossing it .Could you plz tell me what can I do ?😢😢.😮
It seems really interessting what you do! I wish you good luck with your project 💕💕
Can anyone plz ... Guide me , i am inspired by the stars and the space and all in between, i really want to do something in this field of astronomy but i don't know where to start im starting class xii now in india plz ... Advice ,lots of love ...
hey Lewis, I am a 16 year old student and I need advice on what to do in order to become an astrophysicist. My idea is to get a BsC in physics and then a masters in astrophysics followed by a PHD in astrophysics. Is that a right thing to do?
i failed math and physics twice in grade X. 🤡just watching it as i was assigned to write a sop on astrophysicist
Well I am an High school student but I have a dream if becoming an astrophysist So Thank uou for this video this helped me a lot in order to know what kind of books could help me and and how should an physics student be like. Thank you very very much
I think you should raise your sound and lower the music
Hi. I'm from india. Im an 8th grade student who wants to go to the us to study astrophysics. Which university is THE BEST for an international student like me? Pls answer
idk Princeton university? or Yale ( you can search on google if you want )
I did a research internship last winter at UCL in Molecular and Atomic physics on the application of space science, and watching this video brought back all the memories and it made me feel very happy! Thank you for sharing this with us <3
Thank you this video was truly helpful
Glad it was helpful!
Who are interested in astonomy but dont like maths.
Here😢
Me 😢
Pagal hai kya ?
Hey don’t be discouraged! Remember, he said Math was his weakness subject at the start of the video!
But I love maths
Hey, I was thinking of studying either Astrophysics or Aerospace Engineering and have been doing some research, but I'm stuck in between the two. I was wondering if with your degree in Astrophysics you could still get a job in Aerospace engineering, and overall what the job opportunities are if you have an astrophysics degree. Also I was thinking of going to a school in Europe (Germany for example) because of the cheap cost. You might not know the answer to this since you go to school in the UK, but do you know if there is any catch with this cheap cost, or is it basically the same as a school in the US or UK. Thank you.
I’m thinking of making a video on this topic!!
@@LewisMCooper thanks looking forward to it
In my youth, Holiday and Resnick was a two volume hardback or one really thcnk book.
Cool video, everything flows very nicely
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it
Thank you for this video. excuse me can I ask your recommendations about some books? Can you introduce me to some books for an astrophysics and astronomy college student? Can I also ask another question sorry for asking too much my research project is about neutron stars do you know any books or resources to collect some information I'm at the very beginning and I got a little confused. And again thank you for this video it was really motivating.
Glad you enjoyed the video! I actually already have a video on books I recommend for physics/astronomy students!! As for material related to research projects, your project supervisor would be the best bet for guiding you towards the most relevant sources
@@LewisMCooper great thank you so much
FINALLY 😭 Omg- Thank you so much for listening when I requested for you to post a "Day in a life...." 🥹
I'm so glad you enjoyed the video!
Its great to see you back on yt
Glad to be back!!
Bro after master what are you going do and bro is there any difference between bsc physics with astrophysics and bsc astrophysics
The main difference between a BSc Physics with Astrophysics and BSc Astrophysics from my experience is the optional modules and the degree title. Typically a BSc Physics with Astrophysics allows you the option of choosing the astrophysics modules whereas a BSc Astrophysics degree will have the astro modules as compulsory. Hope that helps :)
@@LewisMCooper thanks
Thank you for this impactful video, I'm glad I came across it. Currently applying for my master's program and I need a guide writing my SOP. Could you be of help?
