Hi, thanks for the video. It so happens that I need to find the "Mints" in several cells. Tried with this formula but got an error:: =IF(ERERROR(SEARCH(A3;'Sheet1'!I2:L2));"";"YES") How do I solve this? Thank you
mate your videos are great, i am having problems formulating some information, any chase you can help me?
in column E shows vertical results but when I tried it's not show in vertical can you resolve
It is using 'spill' formula which isn't available in older versions of excel. Could this be the issue? Or maybe you have something in the cells below already?
Tried and tried and couldn't get it to work. Copied your work ver batin and no luck. What am I doing wrong?
Perfect!
This tutorial was, quite simply, *excellent*. Thank you so much ! =]
Very helpful . Because of your tips, the last formula works on textbefore as well. I'm putting you on save as favorites file. Thank-you sir!
Nice. Happy to hear you're also reworking a similar formula for your own needs. Thanks for commenting.
There is now a way to do this, you can use =textbefore(B2, " ").
Very helpful, thanks for sharing
No problem. This is a lot easier than the old index/match formula. Thanks for the comment.
Hi, thank you very much for this great function , but plz how can i make data order by ascending
Hey there. Glad you're loving the formula. To take it to the next by sorting it, you would wrap the formula in a 'sort' function. For example, if the column you wanted to sort by is the 3rd column from the left, you would type =sort(originalformula,3,1). Here is a short video on the basics of the sort function. kzread.info/dash/bejne/a6it08erlM2eqLQ.htmlfeature=shared
hello, i have a long text just example Deferred: As per technician pump send to shop for overhaul. ETC May 2025 (At shop) how to get (At shop) in excel? thank you
Can you have more than 1 true value word in the formula
Hey there. It is a bit tricky, but you could 'nest' another (if) formula in the formula on the video.
Man thanks for keeping it concise and just showing what I clicked the video for. MASSIVE PROPS!
Thanks for the feedback, and I appreciate the comment. I try to keep my videos on point.
Thank you !
No problem. Thanks for enjoying and leaving a comment.
Thanks!
Thanks legend, every bit helps my small channel. Glad the video was helpful.
Hi Man, Thank you very much!
No probs. Hopefully it was useful. I like using this formula.
Thank you so much
No problem. Thanks for leving a comment
OMG straigt to the point. Thank you!!!
Thanks, very clear, what's the effect to the total Growth % number at the bottom of the table? As I understand it it will show a blank, how can you mitigate this?
Amazing❤
Thanks for the comment. It's a simpe, but very useful formula
Also TEXTJOIN is only supported on Excel 2019 and above.
Good explanation, just what I was looking for.
Thanks for leaving a comment. I try to make my videos short and to the point, so I'm happy it gave you what you need.
It misses a decimal point - is there a workaround?
Thank you, subscribed, turned on notifications and liked 👍
Thanks for the comment... and all the extras. :)
Thanks for such a concise and effective video! I'm sort of new to actually making formulas and whatnot, it's always been a very mystical thing to my mind lol. This make's it a breeze.
Thanks for the comment. Glad I was able to help. Let's hope there are many more formula to come for you.
@@datauntelligenceTHERE IS **NO** SUCH WORD AS **CONCATENATE**
I think for the filter of non blank data, it should be A2:A1000 or similar as the total rows from Vstack combine may exceed 100
Good advice. Thanks
how can i have more than one word in the "if contains example)? I am guessing you need to combine filtering word A, word B and the OR function somehow ? Like, in your example how can I filter results from two different states ?
How do you scale this to numerous rows? I need to apply this to thousands of rows at a time.
Could you please provide guidance on how to edit data within Excel filtered results? I'm interested in learning methods to manipulate and update data while working with filtered views in Excel. Any assistance or instructions you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
What is the formula used in column B2
Can I fix colors to certain items in it ?
Hi there. It is possible to have dynamic colours, but it can be pretty complex. This video shows you how to do it using values, but it might give you an idea on how to solve your problem. kzread.info/dash/bejne/qq5ht9CpirLdhaw.html
When I try the last formula, it works until I try to add the second data set. After I close the formula, I get #VALUE. Not sure what I'm doing wrong but if it helps as all, here are the formulas I used . The one that works > =XLOOKUP([@[PART NO. COPY]],A2:A3,I2:I3) The one that doesn't work > =XLOOKUP([@[PART NO. COPY]],A2:A3,XLOOKUP([@[OP COPY]],B2:B3,I2:I3))
Saved my life I was looking for this tut for hours
Yes!! Glad you found my vid, and that it helped you out. I really like the filter function
I have been looking everywhere for a simple tutorial on this. And you explained it it 3 mins. Fantastic job.
Great. I use this feature all the time. I'm happy this helped.
I'm not sure what to do. I am using the filter function, I would like column D to return if the % is less than 85 during a specific shift (A,B,C,D). Shifts are labeled in a row above the %
This might be difficult based on how the data is setup.
I wish you would get rid of the music, a bit irritating and distracting
Hey, thanks for the comment. Feedback noted, I was trying something new.
Great video and example. Thank you!
No problem. Thanks for commenting. Xlookup is my favourite function.
Very clear and helpful tutorial, nice work!
Thanks for the feedback. It's surprising how often I need to use this formula.
That is definitely a very useful one!
Why would microsoft not just offer that as a default functionality rather than having to type that complicated function out? I can imagine this is a regularly required effort.
Haha, yeah agree. This and many other formula.
Thank you so much sir
Thanks for the comment. Glad it helps my fellow Excel user.
This was awesome. Saved me so much time. Thank you!
Yahoo... that's great to hear.
Excellent content! 🏆 This function is amazing! Is it possible to filter with only visible columns? I have an Excel table with slicers that I'm using as a dynamic tool and I would like to return the 10 lowest numbers (on a chosen column) for any filtered state that the table is in.
Fantastic practical real world example, thank you!
Thanks for the comment. Glad you found it useful
