This was entertaining. I was feeling your pain throughout. I have a 2017 FZ-10 (I'm in the US) and do all my own work. Last major "project" was changing out the stock brake lines for Speigler braided steel. I'd done the same thing with my 2009 FZ1 (which I still have and it's for sale), resulting in the promised overall braking improvements. Took me about 2 hours to do the front and rear and that included a break for tea and sarnies. Anyway, I thought I'd be able to do the FZ-10 in something like 3 hours. I thought that because I've changed air filters and installed a quickshifter which meant removing the tank for both jobs and removing the tank takes an hour easily, if you don't want to scratch it up, or break off the connector on the bottom of the fuel pump. (You can't replace the connector. You have to buy a new $350 pump). I definitely used way more profanities doing that. However! Imagine my dismay on discovering that to change the brake lines...The tank must be removed! So I start the job one Friday evening, making steady progress removing all the plastic, the panels etc, the tank mounting bracket just under the front of the seat and then made the decision to try to do it all without removing the radiator. Yep, that's a recommended step in the process. I worked on it on Saturday, Sunday and then for a few hours each evening after work and finally got it all put back together by Friday night just before midnight. A whole bastard week! Oh! I'm forgetting to mention that all of this BS is because these bikes have ABS and on top of that I've somehow managed to get to 68 and not know about back bleeding. And for the piece de resistance I sat on my spectacles and spent over an hour straightening the frame and arms, putting the lenses back in and superglueing parts that were supposed to be soldered. It might be helpful to know that if you're unsure about carrying out the above task yourself and decide that it's better left to a dealer service dept, my preferred and in no way crappy yammy dealership would charge me over 900 bucks to do it. Needless to say that in order to preserve my sanity for what years I have left, I will be refraining from making any more mods to my bike.

4500! My tyres were shot at 3K. I changed them to Dunlop Mutants. Scary af for the first 200 miles but they are awesome now, especially in the wet. My 23 SP is going in for a tune and decat when the funds allow to marry up to my SP Engineering pipe. The noise is the only thing that annoys me at the moment.....or lack of it. Great vids fella, keep em coming 👍

I swore by the S22's and was not going to be swayed from the S23 to replace my rear. Was in for new rear tyre and suspension set-up and the guy recommended the Power 6. Just got back from a trip to wales and this tyre was absolute faultless. You can't go wrong with either in all honestly but I'll be putting the Power 6 Front tyre on soon and doubt ill move away from them, especially if they get a few more miles than the S22 gave me but i'm more concerned about grip and feedback than longevity.

TBH I am not sure about this design. Usually, there is a mounting bracket with at least 2 mounting points. This can be mounted to the bike's frame in a really solid way. The screw that comes from this mount and is used for a bobbin itself should be weak enough to break before transferring too much force to the frame itself. In this design, all the force is applied directly to the frame mounting point. This might work as a strong anchor and be more dangerous for the bike than not having crash protectors at all.

These engines have a dry sump and condensation forms on the inside of the oil tank, mixes with the hot oil vapor forming that white greasy emulsion. It only really happens if you're running the bike through winter weather and will go away once the oil and surfaces get hot enough to evaporate the moisture and isn't really anything to be worried about. Having said that, the original RC8s was notorious for eating their water pump impellers and seals, which can lead to coolant getting into the oil itself, which is bad news if it's not caught quickly. This was traced down to incorrectly machined engine case if memory serves correctly. You should see the gunk on the oil filler tube on my RC8R if I run short hops through a British winter! Scared the shit out of me until someone told me what was happening.

I had a 2015 super duke. Amazing handling and performance, while being confortable and versatile. That being said, I had the back wheel almost coming of twice, the rear wheel hub started having some play and need replacment, the front fork sealents need to be replaced, my radiator also leaked and need to be replaced. All that in the span of 1 or 2 years and about 18000 km ( about 11000 miles). Although I road it fast sometimes, It was never abusive. My Track 2010 R6 never, ever gave me any problems and suffered alot more. It a shame, because the duke was really the one for me and sometimes I dream of having another one, but they are crazy expensive and still haunted by reliability gremlins. When you spend so much on a bike you want the performance and all the premium bits an pieces, but you also need to trust your bike. Having to deal with constant prblems and shitty dealers does ruin the experience and puts you off on owing another.
