@@wallacecash1959 Yea Mother Mopar ran quadrajets for a few years. I think manly on trucks, don't know why. I'm a GM guy so it works for me. I can make any of them haul a$$ just prefer chevys. Rochester, Carter and Weber build qjets so maybe they just got a good deal on them.

It moves okay! The speedo was wrong here for sure. Probably let off at 110 ish? Not sure but the math is close.

@@thedoomslayer2468 I have a 6-speed 5.7 car, and I don’t think this Fury would keep up with it. but yeah a lighter car with a 392 would be a riot. I ran this against my buddies vw GLI, which traps 101, and the fury kept up/pulled away from it slightly so I’m happy with that. Hoping to get it down the track this year.

@@BroncoJoeAK most efficient 4v out there when dialed in. With 4:10s and running 65 at 3500 rpm roughly im still getting over 12-13 mpgs. I’ll know more accurately here shortly. lol

@@claytonmiles carter went under in the early/mid 80s. (1984 I believe.) Dodge used Quadrajets from the factory on all v8 4v applications from 85 onward. They used a unique chrysler throttle shaft.

It ran great. I would build another engine just like it in a heartbeat. Happily pulled up to 6k and more without keeling over with headers/intake etc. Would benefit with a 2500 or so stall for extra fun.

What intake are you running? I'm keeping the factory injection setup on my engine (with different injectors, fuel pump and custom tune) and there aren't many options out there for magnum motors as far as intakes go

There's a local guy that has a 408"(5.7 stroker using Scat forged rotating assembly) Magnum in a Mirada that runs low 10s using Edelbrock heads - extensively reworked - and a hydraulic roller. The car is rather gutted for a street driver, but it has reeled in some cars that looked much faster. I like the Magnum blocks as they seem pretty strong and are roller cam ready.
