Barbados is very nice. Beautiful homes no shacks. High standard of living. All of those houses have in door plumbing. No bathrooms in the back yard. However it is not as dangerous as a lot of places. I live in New York , and I love New York that in dangerous.

My smart phone still can't do some of of this stuff with 4000 times more ram and my pc can do it but it has a lot of strange bugs causing lag and slowdown it seems completely random sometimes i can have 100s of tabs open but with no problem but other times it just fucks up im not sure how much you could run at the same time on the amiga or how much it crashed.
@Noone-of-your-Business6 жыл бұрын
Amiga's multitasking was a nightmare. I was lucky if I could get a text processor running next to a file manager without any of them crashing after a minute. If Windows 95 is a big improvement over your previous system, you _know_ you were in trouble before!

@Neb6 Well, maybe the Kickstart 1.3 was the problem. And that was already upgraded from the 1.2 my A500 came with.

During the 80's I was given a very expensive IBM PC... but with no software except for DOS and BASIC. Looking back, a Amiga would have been better. Inexpensive hardware and cheap software. LINUX would be such a great laptop/desktop computer only if it was as consistent and reliable as their server variant. All the software are free. But, currently plaqued with all sorts of incompatibilities, inconsistencies and bugs. Just setting up and keeping a desktop LINUX running takes a degree in computer science.

The whole problem was.... You never saw this commercial on TV! The Amiga adds were few and far between. Had they showed a series of commercials comparing Amiga VS (Mac or PC or ST or anything else), they could have taken the crown, but because of the man who owned the controlling stock, they never did it. Just a few stupid commercials that were fluff and impressed no one. Sluggo

You need to buy an actual "Scan Doubler" that will output to at least a VGA Signal. the A520 will give you an absolute crap picture compared to an actual monitor. (Try to find an old Amiga monitor, then compare the picture quality using an old style TV and an A520 adapter). Here is one option on Ebay, (there are many so look them up, I still have yet to find an Amiga to HDMI adapter, which would be the ultimate!). This is a popular one on Ebay : www.ebay.com/itm/RGB-RGsB-RGBS-With-Hf-15Khz-to-VGA-Scan-Line-Doubler-Amiga-Atari-Apple-IIGS-/251196334841?pt=US_Video_Cables_Adapters&hash=item3a7c77e2f9 Good Luck Sluggo

I love the bit where they're effectively derping with outlook whilst printing and working on two different word documents ... all that on a 68k with a half meg of memory. Did anyone ever do all that though? (I've recently come into the C-A world with an A600, and I still haven't figured out how to make Workbench multitasking work - the drag-down workscreens etc. I fear it'll be relegated to a games machine only...)
