Thw whole europe is using them without any issues. Why on earth this fastening is not yet widely adopted in america where hand labour intensive, glued and time consuming methods like wood dowels, biscuits, pockets holes and etc.? You can split the assembly for eternity where as you can only screw for a few times into the pocket holes before the wood fibers loos stiffness and does not hold the screw anymore...

I definitely need to do this. New gas stove I’m burning everything. I’ve always had gas stoves. I don’t have a screwdriver, small enough or long enough to fit to the screw. Mine is not set up quite like yours.

Buy a set of jeweler's screwdrivers. Then you will have a screwdriver for every small screw, including your glasses.

This is major bullshit. I cannot get mine off at all. It only closes with a slight gap allowing water to drain and doesn't budge beyond that. It's made of metal. It's not like I'm stomping on it in the shower. What possibly could cause this? I know it's not clogged and I know for a fact I didn't damage it. I used it just fine a couple days ago. It was draining normally and haven't touched it since. If only people would design products that work instead of making them so they will need to be replaced. I'm about to do the stupid smart thing and simply use a spherical heavy ball with a small finger handle. Pretty sure that will somehow last longer than the "smart" way. 😁

See the color of this gentleman's hair? Nuff said. After countless, incessant, asinine hours of watching idiot DIY'ers try to explain pull tabs, this video is the best. It should be pinned on the KZread home page. Wish me luck, as I can only install mine from the INSIDE (high floor condo) -- so I'm going to put the pull tabs AFTER the screen, then spline, -- then yes, tabs. I hope this works. Simply because, if I put the tab first, (this video, he is correct, of course, don't get me wrong) then spline then screen- I wouldn't be able to grab the tabs from the INSIDE of the house. Stay tuned. But thank you again sir!

Good Video. Key takeaway: very poor design. Here we are in the 21st century, 55 years after sending a man to the moon and they still can't design a bathtub stopper with an easy, obvious way to remove it.

My screens do not have springs and pull tabs broke off. They are 20 years old, the screen felt like silk so I had Ace Hardware install new screens and frames are cock-eyed. 👎

I'm not gonna lie to you Clyde, I hadnt even considered painting the inside of the shed I recently obtained. Thank you, so so much 🙏. Working too much and trying to get the handle on a new living space / trying to get all of my tools out of the house so I can live without reaching over things to access shelves, I ust haven't had the brainpower to compile every single thing i need to do with the shed. This has helped tremendously, thank you!!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

I was able to turn the cold side to take it off. Was able to do it easily by hand. When we tried with the hot side, it was very hard to turn the base. Used a strap wrench and it was turning, but still hard. It never raised up from the base. I could have turned it 100 times and it doesn’t turn up off the plastic nut thing. Any idea how together this off? Figure the plastic nut is stripped.

It doesn't work for mine, even though I unscrewed the screw in the shaft of the drain. It's so annoying. It's wedged in too tight and I've already tried using a wrench to loosen the top of the drain. I just want to take it out to clean out the hair inside of it and put in the TubShroom I just bought. it's driving me nuts.
