The two LS sedans side by side almost made me cry. What a great company and culture to be proud of it's products and displayed beautifully.
That is huge and very inviting. Nice work by the staff and owner there. 👍🏼
Very cool, I wonder if Kyosho will follow suit
I'm inspired by the fearlessness with which women express their thoughts and opinions in this space.✨
Honda needs to get back to their roots/heritage! Everything after the 8th gen Civic is lackluster..
David, What is the side crash rating for that van?
Hi David, Everything in Japan is so clean and so beautiful it’s breathtaking 🇯🇵🤍❤️ Thank you, David so much for traveling all over the world to bring information to all your subscribers. You truly are one of the top few in the world that I truly respect that does this backbreaking work⭐️☮️💜🇯🇵🇨🇦🇺🇸🇮🇹
I have owned 4 cars since 1989 all made in Japan. I recently purchased a NX350H manufactured at the Tahara plant. I picked it over another one manufactured at the Miyawaka plant. I specifically picked the hybrid model over the non-hybrid because it was manufactured in Japan.
General Motors used to have corporate showroom in NYC. They even had appliances back when they owned Frigidaire.
Just placed a deposit on a 2024 Toyota 4Runner TRD Off Road Prem with KDSS thats in transit. Didn't like the new engine that comes with the 2025. It'll be my 1st 4Runner.
Great video David
Sold ! Thanxz heaps for the review.
@AutomotivePress So cool, seeing the inner workings of Toyota manufacturing. Would you ever be interested or have a chance to do this type of stream from the Subaru production line?
I start my car after oil change to see if I have any leaks, and then I change my oil. You can never be too careful
I chang mine every 200 miles. Because the oil starts to brake down as soon as you change you oil. So it's a good rule to change oil every time you start your can and 200 miles is the max
David: My Land Cruiser First Edition is being held in Portland Oregon where the ship unloaded for "quality control." I have paid for it and it has a vin number. It is going to be held for up to a month. According to the local Toyota dealer the skid plates were supposed to be installed in Portland, but the parts are not here. This makes absolutely no sense to me. It sounds like a cover story for a car that may have been damaged in transit or offloading. Or Toyota has discovered a manufacturing flaw or safety issue. I am very disappointed! Any insight?
Not to worry. Things like the skid plate, side rock sliders, even the roof racks are all installed locally at the port (not installed at Tahara). So I've also heard that due to supply chain issues, these parts are being delayed. Every port is waiting for the same parts and all the Land Cruiser deliveries are delayed.
Please do a video specifically about main bearing failures in the V35A-FTS engines. Would like to know how Toyota plans to address this.
Nice overview. 🏍️🚘 David.
Just bought one of the 3 big oil companies because it's cheaper than owning a vechile.😂.
Could it be because their engines and transmissions are no good?
They added more motorcycles ❤❤❤
Glad to see you here Kirk 😊
Yes but the showroom was quite bare.... looking forward to coming back with you Kirk!
Great video! Didn't know I shouldn't use windex, luckily I have Bon Ami!
I'll bet that Nissan Jeep would still be a hot seller to this day.
What period/miles would you recommend for the first oil change?
I would say 1,000 miles ideally...
23 Lexus LX600, 22 Lexus GX460, 21 Toyota Landcruiser, 16 Lexus LX570, and upcoming Lexus LC500 all made in Japan. Fit and finish is just superb. I only buy made in Japan, except our Tundras.
I change the oil Filter frequently, along with 1 fresh qt. of oil. easy and cheap, that will provide a long lasting engine, I have proven that to myself with 100's of thou miles. The emission control crap on internal crabustion is what will kill the liquid fuel burners. In the 21st. century, asking " how often to change oil" is like asking a 40 yr. old, how often do you change your diaper?. Electric propulsion will soon start putting the scam called internal crap engines in the scrap yards, never to be built again.
Great video Sir! Thank you for taking us along on such a unique experience. ISF and LC500 owner here. RCF Track is next 🙏🏼
For a car like that yea for a daily driver 5k is perfect
Just test drove both the Mazda CX30 and the Crosstrek, hands down the CX30 was the winner. There was no bias as I never owned either of them, but if I was going to buy now, I would definitely get the CX30, turbo even better!
DOA with 4 cylinder engine with turbos…it’s going to sit on dealer lots
at what speed does it switch to gas mode
The LM seems like a mediocre overpriced substitute for an American conversion van. Still Love my 4runner ! 4 years flawless! Thanks Tahara.
Willing to bet the 4 cylinder gets no better fuel economy than the venerable 1GR-FE V6. So, what's the point? I get the HP and torque are up, but to what expense? Asking a helluva lot from a 4 cylinder. Time will tell...
So, let me get this straight. You increase price by 30%, design a motor with more issues that’s stressed more that will last half as long, just to get 2-4 mpg better. At $3.50 a gallon it would take you about 400,000 miles to make that initial cost back. Ridiculous. It’s like idiocracy these days. No one can think for themselves.
I see no fat workers here. No wonder they make good cars.
Honda is garbage brand and don’t value their customers my Honda pilot paint is peeling off in sheets Honda Canada told me to fuk off
Thank You! I’m so tired of the 7,500 / 10,000 mile oil service internal BS! I drive a performance Mustang and I run strictly Pennzoil Ultra Platinum full synthetic and I change my oil every 3,000 still
the Toyota V6 twin turbos are failing at an alarming rate
That 130 looks like a cheap panel van in the back.
Toyota needs to produce a 4x4, one ton, 8’ bed, diesel pickup…with a stick.
👌
"I wish more people would appreciate this car." This has been the perennial problem with public perceptions of Japanese sports and performance cars: the mass media creates the perception that they're somehow not as good as European ones, as if all that Japan can do is build efficient everyday cars or cushy luxury cars. Of course, true auto enthusiasts will know that NSX, LC, RC, LFA are as good or better than Ferrari, Audi, etc. But most buyers are not enthusiasts: they are people with money who care about how they 'look', i.e., they are focused on PERCEPTIONS. And so they buy the perceptions created by mass media, which puts European sports and performance cars above all else. TLDR, there are only so many auto enthusiasts who will ignore mass media and go ahead and buy the RC or NSX; you cannot sustain a model on such low sales numbers. By contrast, there are many, many more rich people who care little about cars but want bragging rights, and those bragging rights are based on perception. That's why the Audi R series can go on while the Lexus RC and LC are going away.
I'm genuinely grateful for the opportunity to engage in such stimulating discourse. It's a rare and precious gift.💋
Your full of bull ....don't cate for the car for the cars sake
The place to be in this car is in the back seat, although now outdated. Then you don't even have to worry about this being LHD
Great video, it helps that the presenter is also an automotive engineer. He should try to find out the PROVENANCE of this vehicle, who was the original owner? Probably some Corporate Bigshot in Japan. It is clear that Toyota did not want this vehicle to be sold outside Japan, since it never bothered to have the gauges etc in any other language than Japanese
Had a 2008 Mazda Speed3. LOVED IT!!!! I have 2022 CX-30 Turbo, It's a better driving experience than the MS3!!! Smile every time I drive it!!
Test drove the CX30 on Saturday and loved the vehicle, they just didn't have it in the color I wanted. Immediately afterwards I went and test drove the Subaru Crosstrek, the CX30 handled so much better, interior was much better, acceleration was obviously better. I also didn't like the mirror blocking my view on the Crosstrek while driving, a safety issue. All you see in the mountains here is Subaru, and granted they supposedly are know for driving great in snow conditions, but not too sure about how the CX30 handles in the mountainous snow conditions? Also I'm not sure how the CX30 would drive with tires like Falken Wildpeak ATs on for winter conditions, maybe Blizzaks would be better? I also looked at the Rav4 hybrids (SE) also on the same day and have the option to purchase a hard to find color that is actually built in Japan, and the hybrids are almost equal to the CX30 in quickness. The SE also has a specially tuned suspension that allows a awesome ride. So for about the same price as the CX30 Turbo, I'm debating on which to get. Oh, almost forgot, the hybrid obviously get much better mileage per tank.
The workers all look fit and very flexible.
Not betting my $60k on one. 😂
My old 2011 Sienna is at 286,000 miles. These new turbo hybrid’s will not last that long. Bring back the v6’s.
