Hey, how's it going? I'm Johnny. Pretty laid back individual who enjoys a good cup of coffee, long walks on the beach--oh and review games old and new. That last one is what I'm really here for, but sometimes I also like to dabble in livestreams, podcasts and cartoons if I have the time for it. Regardless, I hope you enjoy the show.

9:49 this is actually such a good bit lol
I'm going to make that grill cheese... though with gluten free hawaiian bread.

I'll die on the hill of Other M being a great game. It's one of my fav Metroid games, it really is fun
Gross
Oh, so this is just gonna be the same gimmick as your minecraft video? Cool.
9:40 Umi Shinonome has time.
Came for the trauma, left with a bitchin grilled cheese
See, i saw you at momo con and just didnt bother you cause you looked sad, now i know why
this vid was relaxing。
This video is just how my adhd works.
6:58 I personally like to believe that Lin kuei are not Ninjas because they simply see themselves as being above Ninjas. As if declaring themselves of being from greater nobility then the commoner Ninja. Which it is often true that many Ninjas were of the poor but clever common folk.
15:28 The Original Body of Zero, but also modified and altered by Weil.
I hope it goes multiplatform. Last time a game I wanted to play was made iOS exclusive, it became immediately unavailable on the next system update, and the West was once again deprived of Shin Megami Tensei I
9:06 i know the feel, bro. Hell, I'd take her just getting a spin-off franchise just so that her world can get some lore going on. doesn't even need to be a platformer they could literally copy Kingdom Hearts gameplay and i'd be happy
help me... im going down a Metroid rabbit hole after Metroid Prime 4 was announced.
It's so cool that they got Christopher Sabat to voice Askal
I know im late but the talcum powder turning into cum powder joke is your best gag in a while
54:41 To add to this, my mom actually use to eat squirrels pretty frequently as a child because my grandmother would hunt them with a crossbow pretty frequently. The part that makes me laugh every time is that as a child in my mom’s class at kindergarten everyone had to draw their favorite foods so you’d see pizzas and chicken nuggets drawn by all the students, and then there’s my mom who drew a squirrel. So on the wall where all of the drawings of food were hung up, there was just a random picture of a squirrel in the middle of it all.
Is this better than the first?
I always thought Samurai Legend Musashi voice actress wasn’t good. I know she’s trying but it just sounds like a woman trying to do a surfer dudes voice.
that twisted metal transition was pure gold. A+ sir.
which was worse sunshine or this game?
As a improv/comedy fan, Im so sorry that Adam Pally felt he had to do this. I mean get paid my man but wow what a fucking nuts script lmao. If I were him I would too 🤷🏼♂️ Cudi was band leader on the tv show of CBB as well, another comedic through line that probably didnt play out great on screen. And Edie Patterson! And Ben Schwartz! MICHAEL BOLTON?! Comedic greats but why the fuck THIS show
hey johnny~ the certain game that was announced 7 years ago has come just got a new trailer, and it features a special someone from a certian nds game you dissed. SYLUX HAS COME FOR YOUR SOUL.
I really hope "Shadow generations" is going to be as fun as "Sonic generations"
Recently played through FF1 PR on Switch after finishing DoS an the GBA like 20 years ago. Really enjoyed it, got a little grindy (though that's tbe with an old RPG like this). Bosses are just pushovers, sadly, except for Chaos. I enjoyed the spell charge system, however. I think it goves value to having multiple spell casters, especially healers, and Ethers are just so affordable later on that you can't really run out if charges (again, except for Chaos, who should drain your resources as the final boss).
And speaking of Black Doom, guess who's coming back!?
Donkey Kong Country trilogy, eh? Well well. I first played the original DKC before I graduated high school in early 2010. It is my favorite game in the Donkey Kong Country line, if only because I get to play as DK himself. Between you and ProtonJon, I see that DK isn't ideal for hardcore play, but I really enjoy using the top banana. Plus, he ends up getting kidnapped in both of the SNES sequels. I have an odd story with Donkey Kong Country 2. I first played the GBA remake on an emulator sometime in middle school. When I saw Krow's ghost leave his body after defeat, that was enough to scare me away from playing the game for several years. Eventually, I decided to give DKC2 another chance when it dropped on NSO in 2020. It is my least favorite of the SNES trilogy, but still a snappy platformer with a foreboding atmosphere and nice music. Plus, it gets props for introducing Dixie Kong. As for Donkey Kong Country 3? Hot take: I like this more than the second game. While it's unfortunate that both DK and Diddy have been kidnapped, seeing Dixie team up with her newly introduced cousin Kiddy Kong was nice. The world map is rather odd, as you pointed out, but isn't enough to get me upset. The bosses, though, are peculiar, and Baron K. Roolenstein was lame. DKC3 is a game that I don't play very often, but when I do, I have a good time. Frankly, the Donkey Kong Country trilogy is fantastic. The first game is amazing with its atmosphere and a nice rebrand of DK himself and fleshing out his sub-series. There's a reason why Mario spin-offs to this day have DK take cues from the original DKC. I can't stress enough how special I find it; I didn't even mention the stellar graphics and music. DKC1 is my third favorite Donkey Kong game, just behind 64 and Barrel Blast. Nice retrospective, Johnny.
K.Rool scared tf outta me as a kid
10:42 Johnny: HOOO- KZread: *Cuts to an ad*
He’s name is Boom Boom dude.🤦🏽 4:17
Bob omb 2:15 4:52
I love how he says this is the first game, and that they're keeping it simple when the plot is about an incredibly complicated time loop and they were clearly not striving for simplicity lol
Peacewalker wouldn’t let you crawl because of the controlls of the PSP. The D pad is above the single analogue stick and you had to hold D-Down to lie on the floor
“That was the coward’s way out, even if I did enjoy Matt’s videos” Oh no, now I have guilt for watching his videos instead of playing/watching the source material😞😂😂
You used this new feature called “Jump Ahead” and this video introduced me to it. You sir are commendable beyond respect. You made an ad and said “majority of people are gonna wanna skip” AND YOU LET THAT HAPPEN. I’m literally watching the ad in support now. Your psychology has worked and I hope it did for more people and maybe you make a few more bucks😊
<3
It's been almost 3 years since this video's been uploaded and I've yet to hear anyone refer to metroidvanias as "search action" games on a regular basis. Good.
Congrats on beating the Omega Protocol. I will never beat it as I'm only a savage player and ultimate players are poison... What was the video about...?
When samus wakes up and sticks her hand through raven beaks eyeball, that moment is untouchable. Still think about how bad ass that is dude. Just yanks him around like a ragdoll.
That intro reminds me of the PC game Nerf Arena Blast. Like, same exact character intro style scenes and backgrounds
Thanks for grilled cheese recipe
now where super ghosts n ghouls
29:51 Oh stop it right there. Fighters is genuinely mechanically rich.
I'm on my fifth view and this video is not getting old anytime soon
I was watching the beginning of the video, confused as to why Johnny was mostly talking in a whisper as if he was afraid of waking up the neighbors; the black and white made me think there was something up, maybe his footage corrupted and the color went bad...and the second he mentions he played the game a second time, and I saw the color come back... It occurred to me he was monologuing his memories like one's inner thoughts during a flashback. And once I heard him raise his voice, I knew we were back to our regularly scheduled Johnny.
Damn man you are looking slim. It's genuinely inspirational, keep it up brother.
