Jason Klunk

Jason Klunk

My name is Jason. I am a husband, dog dad, software engineer, surfer, ocean lover, climber, cleaning enthusiast, organizer of things, adventurer, and entrepreneur of business ideas one month too late.

I am originally from the midwest. I suffered a debilitating back injury in my early twenties which led to years of undiagnosed chronic pain. I decided to quit my comfy corporate job in order to focus on getting healthy. The journey to getting my body back to somewhat normal was a struggle and I ended up with a different view on life. My wife and I decided to take advantage of our situation at the time, so we picked up everything and moved our life out to California to explore and chase our dreams.

I created this channel in 2019 to learn how to shoot/edit videos as well as track my progress for surfing 250 times in one year (DONE & DONE!). I'll be posting more surf tutorials, surf vlogs, van conversion progress, and more.

Thanks for watching. Stay Stoked.

Yewwwwwwwwww!

    hey Jason, I love the way you built these cabinets and I plan on doing the same in my van build, my question is if I wanted to add a toe kick to the kitchen build how would I go about doing that? Thanks!!

    Jason! How is your van doing? Still using it? Just took mine out for another trip and 80% of the design was inspired by your videos. Hope you're keeping well bud.

    Thank you for these great videos! I was wondering about your experience with the drawer sliders you have. I ordered the ones from Amazon and when the drawer is fully loaded and you make left and right turns they open. do the ones that you have stay closed? Thank you!

    Really wonderful build. Followed along and went back numerous times to check……. Question I have is when screwing into edge of back door to add wood, do you worry about metal shavings getting trapped inside door and creating rust? I’ll bet there is some condensation in there…

    Lovely work, you're very talented. I always wanted push to open drawers, on doing research this is what they're all saying: "Don't do it! I did and regret it. Will be replacing them soon. They open every time I drive 🚗 😒" Soft close is what you want, where they are stiff to pull open, hense they stay closed.

    Appreciate you using a mask when applying 3M 90 - like you said - keep your lungs healthy! 3M 90 has VOCs including Toluene and Pentane, which are nasty stuff. For others considering spraying lots of 3M 90, please set up good ventilation (doors open, fan on) and wear a mask that protects against VOCs. 3M and others make them - they are 1/2 face piece (only cover the mouth) and have the two little cartridges on the side for VOC filters. Not expensive - about $40. Simple cloth masks (N95, P100) capture spray particles but don't stop you from breathing in those VOCs.

    Question - if I’m headed back into the ocean after riding a wave and as I’m coming back surfers are riding towards me or I’m going towards them - how do I bail? Do I continue to paddle forward?

  • @JasonKlunk
    @JasonKlunk7 ай бұрын

    Try your best to paddle the opposite direction of what way the surfer is going. Sometimes you will end up in a spot where you just can’t get out of the way, and that’s ok. The surfer may need to avoid you, just apologize and keep paddling so you are out of the way for the next one.
