Just saying ... It seems like a HUGE ordeal .. so many guys a rented place?? What's in the 16 foot tall tank??? .. A highschool kid could do this in his mom's basement in a couple of weeks max. 2 years go by and you didn't sell ONE yet?? How much did you spend on rent and salaries so far... after 2 years? If I had the cash to set up, Once the CNC mill was delivered, (just a simple 3 axis), a cut off saw, and three billets of aluminum .. and I'd have saleable product ready to go in ten days, in my basement .. and most of that time would be setting up the web site. Sorry just saying what everyone is thinking. :(
Spray the brush p o r in there with a weed sprayer if you have to through the holes
Greece and wax aren't going to do that much. Especially if it's still compromised, they're just going to sleep out.Gotta kill the rust , leave it there , but turn it to stone P o r fourteen brush kind , not the spray!
I think I would take a pressure washer.Take the plugs out and blast it out for quite sometime. Then put the muratic acid Stick out with the pressure washer then let it dry big time!! And then 3 guesses, the first 2 don't count.Put the POR to it, let that dry.It will turn to Stone, no more troubles. Fricking rookie l o l
did you get your fine from osha yet?
I would skip the grease , load it up with cavity wax after cutting the rust out with a panel cutter on a air chisel or cut off wheel , as far as the tape i wonder if panel adhesive they put new cars together with would work better
Would this pass an inspection in Ontario, Canada?
You can skip the whole scanner thing and just take a picture of it.
DO NOT DO THIS...
where can i buy a set of the plastic rocker panels for a 97 chevy silverado 3 door short box.
Unfortunately we don't offer them for that model. At this time, we don't yet have anything in the works for that generation of the Silverado.
Need these for the gmt800 suburban
When you wash your truck, does water get in those or does it keep water out? I don’t want to wash it and then have water sitting in those
Quick Covers are designed to drain water and not hold moisture.
Looks great!
The video would have been better if it started from the beginning with the prep. Removal of the running boards etc.
Where can I get a set for my 1999 Ford f150 regular cab
After I cover my rocker panels I am getting Rhino coating underneath. I am excited for this project!
Those are the cheapest flimsy looking solutiin to rust I have ever seen . What a garbage "repair".
What a joke
Can I get this for a 89 Chevy regular cab
Will this fit a 2012 Ford Raptor?
Hello, where can I find that plastic kit?
Not bad Got a quote for $7,800 to fix The rocker panels on my 2nd gen Dodge Ram 😂 ...
What all sprays did you use and what did you use to clean the plastic before painting.
So essentially the same solution as putting fender flares over rusty wheel wells. The problem is this will accelerate rusting by trapping debris and dirt where the rust is already prevalent. Please advise.
Since the rust is being removed first, and the entire area is being treated with grease or cavity wax, this substantially reduces the further spread of the rust and keeps moisture from affecting the metal surface to the same degree as before.
@@QuickCovers thank you, very much!! We have just purchased a set
The rust in by cab comers went from 0 to 60 seemingly overnight. I just installed the textured cab corners. They look great. I did all the rust prep and followed the instructions. Easy install.
Do you have to paint them if the vehicle is black?
Textured Quick Covers are UV stable and do not require paint. Smooth Quick Covers must be painted, as they are not UV stable. Both are black ABS plastic.
Do you make rocker panels for a 2008 Buick Enclave? @@QuickCovers
@@barryrenouf3450 Nothing yet for SUVs. We are currently focused on full sized pickup truck applications.
Our provincial government requires us to safety inspect ours every two years, do yours pass gov. safety inspections? The reason why I ask is because I live in the most corrosive region in the world (The Northwestern Atlantic region that stretches from New England to Newfoundland). This is a big market here for what you have if so. @@QuickCovers
@@barryrenouf3450 You would have to check with your local authorities to confirm the inspection requirements. I can tell you that we do get a lot of sales in PA and MA. I do know there are states/provinces where Quick Covers would not pass inspections, but I recommend you check yours specifically to be sure.
Do you make ones for the supercab? I have the he 4 door one with the small rear doors.
Yes we do. See them here: oamusa.com/collections/2009-2014-f-150-super-cab/products/2009-2014-f-150-supercab-cab-rocker-cover-kit

My bed bottoms have holes. Not sure how common that is. Do you have a solution?
why not spray a rust converter instead of grease.tape does not like grease.
I'm buying a rear cab corner and making new rockers out of 24g. Just cut n weld em on, paint with rockguard
I think these are better as a guard for mint rockers
Is this fit on my 2002 gmc sierra 2500Hd crew car 6.6 please answer??
Quick Covers are available for your truck. See the parts available at the link: oamusa.com/collections/1999-2006-silverado-sierra-crew-cab
You know you added that slow it down “AND STOP IT FROM SPREADING” you can’t stop it unless you cut all that rust off, and seal the bare metal
Do you have to sand before primer and paint?
Quick Covers do not require any sanding. You just need to clean them and use an adhesion promoting raw plastic primer before they are painted.
How much did you pay for them?
They’re $500
2009-2012 Rams quick cover would be nice.
They are in the works for the Crew Cab version.
@QuickCovers Good to know, but I have a quad cab.
If i have some rust bubbles on my cab corners should i grind those down first and then apply the rust inhibitor and grease???
Hi Casey. Yes, we recommend removing as much rust as you can within the area that will be covered. You will need to have a good, clean surface where the tape will be mounted, but any rust that is starting should be removed even if it isn't yet corroded all the way through the paint or completely through the metal. This will help to slow down the spread of the rust as much as possible.
Nice job!
Maybe they will go on sale
Watch for a sale in November!
Does anybody know do they stay on?
We've heard back from customers who've had theirs on for 6 years and call us to say thanks. Gravel roads and lots of car washes with no issues. The 3M tape is very high quality. It is pressure activated and designed for automotive body panels. The rivets have a tri-fold design which disperses the surface area to provide a more secure hold.
Hey kiddos no respiratory need for primer!!😂😂
Holy crap, sticker shock. Looks good though.
Grease?!?! Would've never have guessed.
i have no inner rockers left. and my door hinge is the remains of a street sign from a nearby ghost town. my outer rockers are that bad
Wouldn't fluid film be better than trying to get grease in all them spots
After greasing the main areas, we recommend using Like90 Wet Black Cavity Wax to get the nooks and crannies and interior spaces that are difficult to coat with grease.
Too expensive for my blood.
I find the comments funny in this video, y'all need to learn how to swap out intakes, you can find a used sbc intake anywhere for cheap.
Wouldn't it be better to cut out at much rust as possible?
Yes, there is a note on the screen at 5:11 with that suggestion
daam dude u covered a Lot of rust up in there, that shits like cancer, any little bit u leave will grow, n around 6:31 there were still big bubbles under the paint
Not seeing rocker covers for super duty’s????
We only offer the smooth cab corner covers for Super Duty trucks at this time
