Two reasons: (1) the Celtics are, along with the Lakers, the most successful team in NBA history. Those two teams always ruin parity. The Celtics are like the NY Yankees of basketball. (2) Boston is indeed full of loud mouth pricks. I was so happy when the red socks and the idiots won the World Series. However, that team and city went from lovable underdog to outright obnoxious in record breaking time.

It's not boston's fault the opponents key players are injured Why are these people saying Boston's run is easy because the opponents superstar is injured and will not win because of it? And dallas will win because they're opponents are strong Wtf is that mentality? You should complain to the nba then say "If the number one seed opponent is injured, can we put the non injured team against them instead and put the injured team to a weaker team so that we will have a fair matchup" 🤣 It is what it is, if you're superstar is injured then someone should step up That's why you make your roster deep, so that when someone is injured someone will step up Not making excuses and talking down to the winning team, it's not their fault Jimmy Butler, Donovan Mitchell, and Tyrese Halibutton are injured

I was never into basketball until I moved in 2021… and Celtics made the finals. First year living in Boston and they had my respect. Call it bandwagon but I’m a Celtics fan for the rest of my life now

Schroedingers basketball team: They are so good it's completely unfair. They also suck and will loose the finals to the greatest backcourt in history! And yes. I agree. They will probably still be hated, even if they win. But at the very least the Brown and Tatum slander might not be a national sport in the NBA media for the next year or so. One could only hope.

Round 1 they should have lost if Jimmy Butler wasn't injured, Round 2 could have atleast gone to 7 if Donovan Mitchell and Jarrett Allen were healthy, and Round 3 could have easily been a sweep for Indiana with just a few plays. Now, they are facing the 5th seeded Mavs in the finals, who's roster was constructed 4 months ago. Bunch of bums.

People forget the first ring the warriors won involved every team they faced in the playoffs suffering injuries to at least 1 key player including Kyrie and K. Love in the Finals, do we act like they only have 3 rings? NO, they have 4. people will eventually accept that the Celtics won fair and square, but they'll kick and scream for a little while because Boston has had so much success in the last 20 years people are tired of them winning. They grew up seeing their favorite teams get violated by Boston, their daddy's grew up seeing their fav team get crushed and their daddy's daddy suffered the same. It's generational hatred make no mistake. I'm a thunder fan btw

In 22 the Celtics where below .500 at Christmas and had a harder playoff path to the finals then the Warriors. And also Wiggins turned into Kawhai Leonard for a series and has never been seen before or since. They simply ran out of gas at the end. But of course, that is never mentioned in the context of them "choking" that year. To an eight year dynasty with all their main guys still being great. Oh. And Tatum was 24 years old. Younger then Luka is now.

Just to let you know, Philly, Knicks, and Detroit are bitter rivals against Boston. Boston has spanked them many times over the history of the NBA. As a Celtics fan we will never get along with those teams fans and they won’t get along with us. Lakers fans will also never like Boston because we have 17 Banners. We had 17 way before they did.
