We are officially halfway through the NBA Regular Season, so we’ve had more than enough time to properly analyze and see which teams are legit, like the OKC Thunder, Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Timberwolves, and which teams need to make some trades, like the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors. Today, I’m going to go through every Western Conference team and grade them based on the last 45-50 games of this season.

Thunder fan here, JDub is SO underrated. He’s better than Chet and he takes over in the non Shai minutes. He doesn’t get enough recogntion. Aaron Wiggins is our most underrated player, shooting 60% from the field and 40% from 3, his per 36 numbers are insane. He deserves more minutes. Our weakness is, like you said, very clearly rebounding. Mainly defensive rebounding, since we run in transition so much, and that won’t be solved unless we make a move, which I don’t expect us to do til the off-season. I could see Tre Mann or Poku getting shipped out though. Also Shai is still underrated, somehow, by most casual fans. He’s having the best season I’ve ever witnessed as an OKC fans and I watched every game of Russ’s MVP year. He’s just so damn efficient, he NEVER makes mistakes. Anytime Shai has the ball I know something good will happen. And he’s just so smart with the ball, always makes the right play. Not to mention his defensive iq, he knows what the other team is doing all the time, and constantly is jumping passes.
Hot take: I think the pels should package up Zion with one or both of their 1st round 2024 picks for a better star. I honestly don't think Zion can win a chip. Lebum might not be an unreasonable target, and you could possibly get a role player as well, and although Lebum is old, I think that turns the pels into a contender immediately.
