That cloak flying over Thranduil' 0:09 s head reminded me of Edna Mode's design command in the animated movie "The Incredibles". Edna warned of the potentially fatal risks entailed when the uniform design includes a cape. After listing all the fatal outcomes precipitated by the dangerous flapping garment, her concluding design proclamation was simple... "No capes!"

What I loved about Thranduil's fighting style was that it was a direct opposite to Legolas' acrobatics. The economy of movement, the lethal grace, the serpentine deadliness are dazzling to watch. Lee Pace is a study in the deadly beauty of combat.

Eu acho que deviam fazer um filme contando a vida do rei Thranduil, seria uma boa história, e acho que ele merece, como um personagem muito sério e ao mesmo tempo cativante, ele se destacou no último filme do Hobbit, e podemos ver um rei elfo majestoso, elegante, que também tem um diferencial em seu jeito de lutar. Seria um ótimo filme contando a vida dele. Eu ainda tenho fé que ele voltará para arrasar.

Actually, it was Arwen's mother who was killed by orcs. She have two brothers too but they weren't in any of the films.

Arwen’s mother was attacked by orcs, but she was not killed by them. Her sons rescued her. She was so mentally traumatized by the experience that she had to sail West for healing.
