So it is actually just Rev'it products re-branded with maybe a slight price mark-up
Nice of you to show how to hide the leftover wires
The low end is what I'm after Who the heck is topping out a GS?
Thank you your video has helped me a lot
Will mount work with XT2 on a KLR 650 bar above speedometer? Gen 3 version 2023
Me like plate bash.
Does anyone know if this would fit a 24 Africa twin standard model?
Its very rare to find videos of people praising more electronic on adventure bikes...
Hi. Is this compatible with the Zumo XT 2?
The 'fusca" would be the same think.
whats the torque for the rear shock bolts thanks
Another great video. Even a complete clown of a mechanic like me can follow the steps and get it done!
Your links to shop aren’t working, love Touratech and what you’ve done for the BDR community!
Thank you. Great reference material.
Ese gps puede mandar mensajes a celulares?
Just installed mine on my 23’. A little tricky after a few beers, but they fit solid.
Is the helmet quiet? Wind noise is a problem for me on long rides.
Great video. Thanks for the easy step by step guide that even I could follow.
Is Topcase too far at the back?
has to be to allow room for a pillion passenger
I think so too! Compare the top case rack with the plastic passenger handle, much longer..
Pointless
how long is the 55mm lowering rear shock length?
Thanks for the good video, Owen. One small correction: the torx for the upper bracket is T25, not T27.
Hi Sir, Could it fit also on Duke 890 R ? They didn’t mention it. Maybe it’s more powerful and has stiffer clutch springs? Furthermore, Seems that slave cylinder has not a nut but it’s kept in place by the actuator shaft. Doesn’t it shake because of vibrations? Thank you in advance
verbose, this could have been delivered with less time. “hold it down to power down” as an example ! Who knew ? 😂
I found a solution to the center bolt problem! I went to the store and found a "cross dowel" and used that. A cross dowel is a barrel shaped nut that has a hole in the side that is threaded. You insert into the crast bar tube, assemble, and then you thread a bolt into the cross dowel. So much easier and really simple. Touratech should have just supplied one from the start!
I just brought the exact same bike, but not sure if upper crash bars are even needed due to the bike not laying flat because of the boxer motor
If you loop the bike, which most people wont. An upper crash bar isn't even needed.
@2:16 "be careful NOT to drop the bushings" 🤣😂🤣
It would be great if you do an installation video instead, thanks.
Looks great but very easy to pinch
Where is the Lower Crash Bar installation video for the Touratech bars?
What is the mounting bracket used in the video?
That was a part made by Enduro Engineering that has since been discontinued.
Great tutorial. I just got an XT2 and getting used to it now. Coming from a zumo 390 so big step up. If you don't mind I have one question. My very first Garmin would automatically re-route to the next waypoint if you skipped a waypoint. I've noticed on the XT2 and my 390 it won't do that. If continues to keep routing to the missed waypoint. How do we skip a waypoint so it will re-route to the next waypoint? TIA.
Tks. From Brasil. Campinas .SP.
THX - from Denmark
Thank you Touratech, excellent lessons.
This video is awesome…and essential watching. Thankyou Owen! ( now…can you please put a link to this video in the instructions?)
For years now BMW GS and GSA owners have been threatened with the broken headlight boogie man by every parts hustler on the planet! Yet in all that time, I’ve never seen a sliver of evidence proving it ever happens! Never seen a video, never seen a photo, of the problem these products claim to prevent. Add to that the medicine is often worse than the disease-as is shown here! My bike is covered by comprehensive insurance; that’s good enough for me!
Nice kit but it doesn't stop them stealing it from the Ram mount
This product doesn't have to be RAM mounted. It can be bolted hard to a 1/2" crossbar or one of our many GPS bracket adapters.
@@TouratechUSA I didn't say it had to be Ram mounted.I suppose I should have phrased it "What if it's Ram mounted?" Is that better?
This is natures way of telling you, you should have bought a '22 GS Adventure!
That’s awful loud music
Hello from Brasil. Tank you very much!
Beautiful country
I'm finally replacing my old Zumo 550 and its old Touratech locking mount with an XT2 & mount. Is the XT2 locking mount pretty much the same setup as this XT one at least as far as mounting hardware goes? I have a Touratech 1/2" crossbar I got back when I got the 550 originally.
Yeah, our XT and XT2 mounts will attach to that same 12mm crossbar that you were using for the 550. Thanks for the question and congratulations on the upgrade.
Thanks for the great overview. I live in Ontario and ride quite often in the US. I was using a Montana 600 and 610 for the past 12 years and was able to put the unit menu on the main screen. Is it possible to relocate it for easier assess, or do I have to all the way to the system menu every time to change the units? Thanks for your help.
The Montana units are VERY customizable but the Zumo series is designed to be much simpler to use. I don't think you can customize it that far. Thanks for the comment.
Neat, looks good, nice explanation. But I hate that you waste zip ties on this. Single use plastics, boo, bad.
You're not wrong about that. That particular clamp can be difficult to hold in place while you get the bolt threaded in and this method makes that easier. You could accomplish the same thing with a velcro strap or strong tape or just ask for a helper. You certainly don't have to use that zip tie if you don't want to.
I m interested in lowering 2011 gsa,and some mechanics say that bike is loosing its geometry. So what is the best advise? Thank you on all answers.
Our spring lowering kit is a great option because it lowers both ends of the bike equally to preserve the factory geometry. This is the best kit for the price to properly lower your GSA.
@@TouratechUSA yes but motorcycles loose geometry by lowering them too much or raising them too high cause that is the the way they are design by factory. You know that right?
This is certainly not the place to have that argument. Yes things change when altering the motorcycle from stock but lowering both ends equally (especially on a telelever bike) does not create any unsafe geometry changes. By far the most noticeable change will be the easier reach to the ground. Good luck with your parts search.
@@TouratechUSA ok,thank you on hour deep approach answer. I will consider those.
Outstanding job! Really good explanation of how get around the lack of Show/Hide on Map feature that is not on the XT2.For other's information, it's right around the 55:00 minute mark.
Nice overview. Re: Helmet Guide, even though I always wear a helmet I keep this turned on because it usually functions as a nice little reminder for distance remaining to get to a US state crossing.
The Environmental Zones option provides a warning that you are about to enter a region in a city where there are traffic restrictions, such as a time-of-day-based traffic prohibition or a required fee to enter the zone (aka a congestion zone/fee).
So ugly
