Itd be good if you showed how the car needs to be on jacks and does it matter due to weight pressure?

Same thing happened to me when I bought a set of hubs , both came with sensors. So on passenger side I just cut the wire also. Just finished today but was very confused abd got conflicting answers also. Thanks!

Just replaced my dad 07 CRV starter. Move the manifold to the side and loose the top bolt and unplugged the connector and battery cable. Get the starter from the bottom and reverse the process done deal!

Nice video. But I think you need replace Heater Pipe too. My CRV 2007 142 000 k have leaking from that stupid pipe. I was replaced starter Two Years before from bottom, but is a Better Idea to replace from top. If I done that Pipe same time whit Starter, don't have that stupid problem today .. More ease , and you can change Heater Pipe, check Thermostat, maybe replace, and Thermostat Housing Same TIME ... You can see that rusty pipe 19. 02 video..

Great video! I have the exact same job ahead of me. I’ve watched several videos and yours is by far the best! I anticipate also having problems with the bracket bolt you couldn’t get off, as I already was under there to loosen the lower one, but upper nut is seized. Did you disconnect the wire loom clip after unbolting the manifold, or from below? That looks like a PITA. Other mechanics have told me that’s the worst part of the job. I’ll definitely replace from above - cannot imagine doing it from below, especially without a lift! I appreciate the extra detail you provided, as I have intermediate mechanic skills.

Ok what I found out the hard way is your frount screw is to loose and to tight will make it hard to get the blade out take the screw out put Loctite on it blue keep turning it in and out until you like how your blade comes out and locks in

Just take other side off and bend tab back in place by pushing it in with small punch there is a window to access it

Everyone is saying it's easier from the bottom. May be true if you don't have any neck/back issues or work on a lift. I just replaced one from the bottom and watching the video, I'd say it's a tie. But, that coolant pipe will be rusty and you should coat it with some POR or Fluid Film or something to extend it's life.

Well, that's cool. So from the top was not real bad.. but it really isn't that big of a deal. I did replace one in a similar setup, different honda and I personally thought it was worse. ..from underneath and it wasn't that much time difference.

The right front only has an ABS wheel speed sensor if the truck is equiped with 4 wheel ABS. If your truck only has RWAL then the sensor is not needed in the right front. They use a sensor on the left front for electronic throttle control and for a redundent speed signal for the engine controller.

Guys I have a 2008 CRV and did mine from below. it wasn't hard and didn't take that long. Grant it I am a 40yr cert. tech. with a mid rack at home. but this was my first one and easier I think from below 😎😎😎

Go through the bottom and remove the 2 8mm bolts holding the actual starter together.remove the cylinder half and the normally hard to access 14mm long bolt will be very easy now.on instal put this bolt in the new starter hole install it snug the front 17 mm bolt up then thread the long 14mm in the back.used a quarter inch rachet around the knock sensor on that 14mm didn't even have to remove that.so I took off the splash shield ,manifold support bracket then the starter.maybe two hours tops.got hungry during halftime

Would have been easier to remove the pcv valve and other intake hose at the top instead of at the intake boot. Just leave the metal tube attached to the intake boot

This was a great video of the process! I did try to do the swap from below, but from the top is a much more sensible approach. If you have tiny hands, the bottom end might be OK. Thanks for your video Sir.

Just removed and replaced it without removing the intake manifold. I have no lift. Just raised it a bit with a jack from the driver side and it took me about 1 hr. I believe this procedure is if you can’t get on your back.
