    Once you have selected the 360 option there are two orange rings at the bottom before the stake. Turn the bottom on anti clock wise and the top on clock wise so the little bit that stick out meet up. then that it set to 360. 🙂

    I'm hoping so too. I just happed to be in B&M the other day and spotted only two boxes left on the shelf. Said on the box it covers up to 60 square meters but i never go with what it says on the box. I always add more. My lawn is 80 square meters so I've used the two whole boxes. I know for sure the birds are going to get some. 🤣 But yeah i hope to have a better looking lawn. The bare patches were doing my head in. And then i see yours. 😔🙄🤪😝

    @@GardeningOnALowBudget You're right, my situation is I have a few smaller patches and even including some small trees so I need to stop quite often, so I don't have a lot of space to build up some speed. Still I think I can benifit from using a reel mower, I just need that blade to be spinning on its own. Also it's a nice hobby project! There's 1 youtube video someone who did the webb already. Some other people have made the Fiskars staysharp manual reel model electric over the last couple of years, or also other older ones like a McLane (USA) or Scott Bonnar (Austrailia), from gas to electric.

    I would go over your lawn with a rotary mower first and then take the tips off with the cylinder mower. Once the height is down the push cylinder mower pushes easy. I add 15 - 30 KG weight to mine when I cut my lawn and I'm in my 50s. 🙂

    Nice work buddy, it definitely looks greener than the last video. Your lawn is one of I am looking forward to see how it will look by the end of the May. Nice and clean edging as always. Do you know which seed mixture will you be using on? Since you don't suffer by any shade as Mark said J. Premier pitch or any sports rye grass mixture will look amazing. Green care does them in 5kg bags which will be plenty in my opinion even so enough for fall overseeding or next spring. I used same cheap seaweed in the past from home bargains 1L for 2 quid and as they say you get what you pay for but for the spring and summer I could not recommend enough Angus Spring Rise granular fert NPK 10.4.4 it also has added seaweed, calcium and magnesium. I put it on my lawn last Monday and the difference is wow.

  • @markslade9722
    @markslade97224 ай бұрын

    Those bare patches will soon start thickening up as the weather improves. Remember you saying the seed you used was just cheap bargain store stuff for now, until you buy Johnson's premier pitch. What I noticed with a lot of those cheap seeds from shops like that is the seeds are mainly annual variety, not perennial, so a lot dies off after just a year. The exposure, lighting of the camera used is never a reflection of how it actually looks in person to the naked eye, as it constantly changes from lighter to darker when filming. Lovely flat lawn to mow, wish I didn't live on a hill as my lawns are both on a slope, so hard to push my heavy vintage mowers up sometimes😂but just got an electric self propelled atco Windsor 12s, so will be a breeze up the hills now🥳🥳🥳🥳

    Yes it will cover in a bit once the better weather is here. After I did the Lawn Scarification to remove the moss and thatch there wasn't much grass left. I also use a cheap electric rotary mower before I use the old Cylinder Mower. 🙂

  • @markslade9722
    @markslade97224 ай бұрын

    @@GardeningOnALowBudget yeah it is good to do that as the electric rotary also acts as a hoover sucking up any remains from the scarify. Nice mower mate, the modern Chinese Webb weh12r is based on that exact mower. But the modern Webb has a plastic rear roller instead of metal like yours, and plastic top, steel front roller. Plus the modern Webb has plastic cylinder bearing housings. Type restoring qualcast super lite panther in you tube, and you will see terror bear has a video of him totally stripping the same mower as yours down, and sandblasting it, painting it, and he changes the five blade cylinder to a ten blade. I can't find a ten blade anywhere, but if I could, would swap the cylinder out in my 1960's super panther from a five to ten cylinder. Yardbrah in America also has the same mower as yours but with a ten blade cylinder.

    Yeah i love my little push mower. 🙂

  • @markslade9722
    @markslade97224 ай бұрын

    @@GardeningOnALowBudget you can't beat them, no fuel, electric etc needed, get them backlapped so they are so sharp they cut with virtually zero contact between cylinder and bed knife, so hardly any effort to push, and you won't beat them. Different story if your lawn is on quite a steep incline though, especially with the older heavier push mowers, but your lawn is as flat as a bowling green, so you wouldn't even work up a sweat pushing that panther 30s. And they will last for centuries.

    @@GardeningOnALowBudget I have done that in the past with some of my light side wheel cylinder push mowers, using cylinders filled with sand for stopping pergolas flying off, but don't need to do it with all my old vintage cylinder mowers as they are heavy enough🤣🤣🤣your panther 30s is probs about 1980's or 1990"s, and so the side casings on yours are light aluminium. But my original panther from the 50's is all steel and cast iron, then my 60's super panther the same, but the following model was the superlite panther from the 70's which is basically the same mower as your 30s, that is when they made them lighter by using aluminium for the side casings.. Only thing you may find adding more weight to yours is the rear roller nylon bushings will probably wear prematurely as you are adding a lot more weight to them than what they were designed to take, so make sure you regularly grease them.
