If I am not mistaken, it was on a weekday. This route I took is usually sparsely populated. Almaty city in general is quite sparsely populated with the exception of special holidays like "Naruryz" or "Victory Day"

Yes, we were speaking in Russian (and a bit of Kazakh Language). Actually, I was going to cut out that part because I thought it would be very distracting for viewers. But had I done this, then it meant I would have to Re-Record from scratch at the bottom and up to the top of the mountain (part two coming soon). Mountain climbing is not my strength. Well, I hope it is a testimony that my language learning methods do work even if it is unorthodox.

I completely understand your reasons. I think it's always a very personal decision which languages you really want to learn. And if you really want to, then learning is easier and more fun. my deepest respect about your goals and passion Удачи! I'm really curious about your future progress. I like to do some research on the topics I like. so , I learn English and Japanese. I tried to learn Ukrainian. It much easier because ukrainian is pretty close to Russian. I can learn it just by lisrening and reading but it's not my priority right now.
Yes. I'm actually going to make videos how I study and tips for others who are also studying foreign languages. And hopefully show my progress by speaking with locals (I live in Kazakhstan) Good luck on your language journey too.

Good on you! I wish you success with your studies. I prefer to enjoy Eastern culture too. Btw, it is so rude when people exclude others from conversation by speaking in a different language. I understand when it is sometimes necessary, but in an otherwise friendly context it creates such awkwardness if they are deliberately leaving someone else out. I guess it would be a bit of fun, to be able to do that back to people who excluded you, lol ... but be wary that you don't create the same situation for another nice person. I am learning Russian too. It is a difficult language for me, but beautiful, my favourite! 🥰 I'm interested to see more. Liked. Commented. Subscribed. 🙂

Greetings! Yes, if it helps with motivation, then why not?!! In real life situations, you probably wouldn't do it, unless the other people had already been treating you that way. It's a kind of ... fun idea to have a "secret" language. I actually know a rude person that I'm tempted to try that with one day 🤔🤨so maybe it will become a part of my motivation too 😂!?! I left in 1992 when my husband retired from the Schenectady Fire Dept. I have missed Home…every day. I thoroughly enjoyed the walking tour - very nicely done, however… would have loved some narration. Maybe neXt time. 🤗
