Not going to debate if Big L was a piece of shit or not, but I will ask you this. If Mase was so ahead of Big L, how come Mase's career was over within 5 years and none of his material holds up like the classic Big L stuff? I've heard it all from both artists and the only things that hold up as far as Mase is concerned is his verse un Uptown Connection and his stretch and bobbito freestyle. Mase was smooth and definitely an adequate rapper but he's not and never will be regarded as a legened. Hes a #2 guy, similar to a Lil' Cease in my books. Just my 2 cents
