    You're right. I definitely used to idolize Mase when I was a teenager 97' 98' 99'.

"Same Niggas" tells u everything about Ma$e's mindframe at the time. HARDEST song on the Album by the way💯.

from scratch was hard too. but yeah same niggaz really gave an insight to what he was going through. from an artist perspective, it also showed mase could go in that deep introspective lane. same niggaz is the type of joint you would expect say a common or nas to rap on.

@@el84oro Well said. No doubt, his verse from "From scratch" tells it all as well. Fire song too.

@@el84oro @emperorSCOE listen to Fabolous "One Day" & see if he didn't replicate "Same Niggas" to the T! I love the song tho, cuz my fav rapper Ma$e so obviously he was easy on my ear, but check it out tho.

Always liked Double Up. Although it’s not better than Harlem World, there’s bright spots still worth coming back to after all these years. Great to finally get his insight on the album. What a tumultuous time he was going through….

Interesting. I was in my 19 when double up came out. It didn’t even Dawn on me that he was still a kid when he put those albums out. I see why Jay was able to navigate his success a lil better because he was in his mid 20’s. And considerably more mature since he was really pumping before the music. Plus he was in and out of it during his hustle days.
