Roof Top would be an astounding feature for homes, I would think that it would add more views, I was a mail man in Charlotte for 21years and saw various neighborhoods even with the luxury neighborhoods the houses were way too close even with a fence in backyard.
Houses have become closer together in the past recent years. The rooftop feature would be an excellent option for single family homes too.

HOA fees are like a tax because they always increase but there is a chance that over time you dont use the amenities of the property so it becomes a monthly burden
I agree. If you're not going to use the amenities, paying HOA will feel even more burdensome. I definitely try to use the gym to offset that feeling.
I am really considering, and I do love that it is not a 55 plus. What are the beginning and end price ranges?

In terms of HOA fees?
There is no pros in buying a home with a HOA

There are no pros. You pay taxes regardless. There is code enforcement. HOAs are you paying someone to enforce their opinion on you. I have NEVER heard a good HOA story. It's extra money for nothing.

I agree. No pros!!! Just paying someone to tell U what u can’t do w Ur own stuff. Then, my neighborhood HOA wants us to pay a fee to ask for permission to do any project…. I get no benefit from the HOA. Whenever we asked can we decorations for the different holidays, they didn’t want that. Nothing positive comes out of an HOA. When the interest rates get betr, I’m tryin to find somewhere there are no HOA fees.

I live in a Charlotte HOA ,,, pros and cons ,, cons is sometimes I want to curt my grass lower or I have to wait for them to trim my hedges ,, in whivch they wait till they grow taller than my window ..Also parking is now an issue ,,, like you said it’s a give and take
Some HOAs are more responsive than others. Sometimes you have to let them know that some things are happening in the neighborhood because they aren’t being vigilant.
I just moved back to New Jersey from Pineville and God I miss it!
Pineville is a quaint town so I can completely understand. I used to live in Carteret, NJ.

Very funny. NY has a lot of beautiful things but it extremely expensive.

She's 100% right about the flight time and road trip time. I did both. Took a flight then drove back with a new SUV. Heading back soon in preparation to move back to NC.

So am I. But I don't like driving long distances. A young lady told me there's companies that will bring my stuff from NY to NC. I have to start Google ing that. Or I may buy all new furniture. I'll see, because I do have some beautiful furniture.

I'm leaning towards Steele Creek but I like how quiet Belmont is lol I want to live in a city in Charlotte that is quiet like Belmont but has more indoor activities like Steele Creek if that makes sense? Lol I've been to uptown Charlotte many times and I wouldn't want to live up there because how loud and busy it is...
I completely understand! Both are very popular places to live but they definitely promote different lifestyles.
