    This guy is ABSOLUTELY WRONG about threading that machine that way.... if you do this it will eventually cut through the pin and the abrasion from the worn pin will eventually start causing thread breaks. Use the method described in the owner/users Manuel and you be just fine. If you find your thread is to tight or you have to back off you tension assembly's then eliminate one hole in the thread guide directly above the tension assembly. If you find your thread is to lose then you have spring issues in the assembly. Lose tension was my problem and I bought 3 assembly's and they were all SH** I finally bought the individual pieces from my supplier and replaced the spring (cone shaped spring) and now it works just fine. The p[problem with those cheap assembly's on Amazon and ebay is the ALL THE SPRINGS are made of cheap material and they provide NO TENSION, and most of them are misaligned and fall apart in your hands before you even get them on the machine - don't buy those cheap assembly's, I guarantee you'll regret it. But for sure, don't follow this guy's instructions - HE IS ABSOLUTELY WRONG!!!

    Great details. I have a 206-rb1 which is the same machine. At the triple hole thread retainer ive never seen it fed that way. I approach it like a stairwell and skip the middle hole for all my projects if I need more tension for whatever reason then I will go through the middle hole as well. I'm gonna try it the way you showed us. Thank you

    Nice video! I love my Consew 206 RB1. Any idea why my stitch length doesn't look like I'm getting the full potential. I think I should be able to get 5mm or so. Mine look to be about half that. I have it adjusted to what appears to be the maximum.

  • @SurvivalCitizen

    It gets complex, as that adjustment is cam controlled. You will need the adjustment service manual found online. Either the hand lever mechanism is off, or the cams in the sewing head where the needle and foot shafts are.

    Deglaze the cork friction part of the clutch with a little dry sand paper or brush. Use fine emery cloth and solvent on the wheel it contacts inside polish it. Make sure to carefully clean everything so the throw out is moving smoothly and is lubricated properly. This will help control it better so it wont run. I have a few other tricks that worked for me if this doesn't help.

    The only thing you can do is somehow try to find where or how it is binding up. I'm assuming you have tried turning the handwheel on the side. Finding what is out of adjustment or binding is difficult. It will take step by step, piece by piece observation. Take off any easy to remove pieces to make it easier to find. Look at a parts schematic and understand how it works. Something is either broken, bent, rusted, or seized. I wish you successful hunting!

    I know this was intended for Consew 206RB owners, but it drives me nuts when people call this type of machine a "walking foot". Yes, it's technically a walking foot. But, it is a "compound walking foot". There is a huge difference. With a compound machine, the needle and the needle presser foot move up and down, and back and forth, along with the feed dog, to move the fabric. In a regular walking foot, the fabric is moved by the outer presser foot and outer feed dogs, while the needle shaft and it's presser foot stay stationary. The compound walking foot is far superior.

    HI there, I have a Consew 206RB-1 and I was watching your vid here and was interested in the servo motor you installed. I visited Enduro's website and found some motors. So I was wondering if these servo motors deliver the same amount of power as the AC clutched systems ? If you could comment on that and give model specifics. I would like to have the slow motion control the servo motor provides as well as still have the higher speeds that the AC motors provide and of course similar power capabilities. So which Enduro motor should a guy get ? I wouldn't mind if we could hook up via email somehow ...

  • @SurvivalCitizen
    @SurvivalCitizen5 жыл бұрын

    Your questions exceed my knowledge. It really boils down to your voltage (Mine is 110v), if you want a needle positioner sensor, and if you want their commercial or heavy-duty commercial. As for power, a clutched motor will always have more power, but it is very poor control in slow speed as the clutch has to do a lot of slipping to keep speed slow. Speed? That all depends on the pulleys you use. A faster pulley ratio will not do slow well and lack power. A slow pulley ratio will be excellent slow but not as fast. All I know is mine is plenty fast for me! It is faster than I can guide the stitch. Call the company and ask questions. They know their products better than I do...

    Mark, there are very few videos on these industrial machines, which is why I made mine to help all those in the same dilemma. I have always considered myself very mechanically inclined with a good ability to "follow the process." You are going to have to get the machine head on a bench with good light (and a head lamp too) and you are going to have to learn how your machine works. A parts schematic helps too. Look for WHY the rear foot rises. What cam or lever moves it through what linkage. You also may be looking for a broken part. Wish I could help more, but unless you have factory connections you are going to have to be your own technician/engineer. Good luck!

    great machine but ask anyone and they'll tell you too slow it down. Brushless servo motor are great but loose their power in low speeds. This may sound like I don't like servo but I change all my clutch motors to servo. Adjustability, speed control and quiet. 206RB is a heavy duty machine and the motor is great if you slow it down, so the answer a pulley reduction system. You can buy or build them but aim for a 3" to a 9" and you'll be happy. I also use a lot heavier thread usually Tex 138 on a 20 to 24 needle and silicone spray always..

I sew back and forth several times, 1" webbing and it is not holding together put tension on the two pieces and they pull apart, some are good way too many not. I seen where you start in the middle and sew back and forth, like you machine mine is too fast and stopping where I want is not an option, I was wondering about smaller stitches, definately want to slow the machine down, maybe see if I can get a smaller machine for the job. but for now I have a fast machine and straps to make any thoughts.

    Diagnosing complex sewing problems is tough without hands on, but it sounds like your TIMING may be off. Timing being the synchro of the needle to the turning bobbin shuttle. You may also need to loosen the tension on the bobbin case where the small slot screw is near the spring steel finger. You should be able to pull up the bobbin thread foot down or up. Hope that helps.

  • @guerrokingpep
    @guerrokingpep5 жыл бұрын

    The reason it is easy to pull on the thread is because if you notice the lever to the foot is up and therefore the tension disks are open. Once you pull the lever down the disks close and bring back the tension.
