I have three kids that I homeschool. I try to help them pick books to read for school that they won’t hate for this reason, while still trying to give them a lot of variety and how to think deeply. I love dystopian and fantasy too!

This was a really fun video! I really enjoy the way that you talk about the books that you really enjoyed. I read Brown Girl Dreaming for Middle Grade March a couple of years back and it is so good! I just read my first Kennedy Ryan book this month. I'm not a big romance reader, so I really appreciated that it was a bit more emotionally complex.

If you look in your settings, you should be able to have the cover of the current book you are reading as the Lock Screen.

For you to have a colour Kindle, you would have to wait till the technology gets to a point that Amazon are happy with for their readers. There are e-readers that do have colour and from what I’ve seen they’re neither bad nor great, yet. Like people have mentioned, the Kindle Fire being a ‘tablet’ and not using e-ink is in full colour but the trade off is that it is not just a dedicated reading device and is more like a large smart phone without the phone capability.

I had the original Kindle Fire, which is basically an e-reader with tablet functions, including the color screen. Loved it. The newer Fires (of which I have a Gen 7 7") are tablets with the Kindle app. It takes minutes on mine to get reading, because I have to boot up every time; it burns power even when "asleep." Don't like it very much. I plan on getting a basic Kindle for myself for Xmas, hoping to return to my old e-reading experience. I wouldn't worry about the color.

You said towards the end that it said that Katniss was the only winner from district 12 but in the first book it's mentioned that there had been two winners before Katniss and Peeta. Haymitch obviously was one and there was another winner but the person died. You probably just misspoke. Lucy Gray would have made three but all the footage and info about her was deleted as you stated. I don't know if you meant the only female winner but I'm still not sure if the other person who won other than Haymitch was female or not. I can't remember if their gender was ever mentioned. But in all, District 12 has had five winners in the entire existence of the Hunger Games with only four of them being known. And by the end, three of them; Katniss, Peeta and Haymitch are alive. Though we don't know what happened to Lucy Gray.

I finished Delicious Monsters by Liselle Sambury not too long ago and I plan on reading her duology. I still need to get to Legendborn and Seven Days in June. I added Blackout to my tbr.

It started off rough but the ride and the ending was worth it! I can relate to the tbr. I was supposed to read 12 books this month and have only finished 3 and am between 4 books right now.

You can’t change the black and white. The color e-ink is new in the market and is pricey. Google color e-ink tablets and you’ll see ❤

accidental pregnancy will always be jail every day of the week for me lol i once read a romance that had it at the end of the book... like huh? truly wild to use it with 15% of the book left!!

they always save it for the end as a plot twist and it’s ends up ruining the whole book. just so annoying 🙄

I know I wish the covers were colored. I have the Pearl pink book and I think I want a kindle too. I do read on my kindle fire tablet and I love the colored book covers
