Thank for Video a lot. Can I have a question that how can I layer sound for funky style or how can I choose the right Tone for funky ?
Thank you for this! I have been wanting to learn this for a long time and you have a catch in explaining it soo soo simple!
I'm so glad! Thanks! 🙌
So bad everyone is sleeping now, cause I feel like going to the piano to groove… just subscribed.
Thanks for this great lesson! So much fun!
Glad you enjoyed it! 🙌
Like yourvideos a lot! This was the first one which was not too advanced and quick for me! Really enjoyed it and learned it! But cannot find your video about Gospel triads which is interesting. ????
Awesome! Here is the link - kzread.info/dash/bejne/q6BtpqqccbbXfcY.htmlsi=Qg8rXjOTpq74004Z
I always thought funk was way too hard, but I can actually play along! Thanks you so much for showing me how to play this!
Great video. Short, sweet and very educational. Thank you.
You are welcome!
Thanks so much simple easy and great lesson. I´m a guitar player it´s good for me too
Awesome! Thanks!
Hej Adam It would be great if backingtrack and/or sheet music were accompanied by a MIDI file. Then I could insert it directly into my DAW. Even better, transfer the MIDI file to my Yamaha P-S500. I am a beginner and find it very helpful to see which note/chord I should play on the keyboard. It is a quick way for me to learn new songs. Then I would gladly buy your courses. Best regards Bo Godthaab Denmark
Tack!
Thank you!
mccartney was not the first to play that walkdown for sure
Incrível! Incredible.
hey! i´'m playing with my nord electro and it seems that mine don´t produce that keyoff sound as yours do. What sound are you using?
I'm actually using a sound from Logic - Funk Clav which I've then tweaked.
New sub here. Youve made me want to get back to my keyboard. Thanks for the inspiration!
Awesome! Thank you!
@@thekeyscoach I played for a few hours yesterday. It's almost like riding a bike. Had a blast! Thanks again!
🚀 🙌
less is more!!Thx!
we even have an original HOHNER Clavinet C at home 🙂
I am very impressed by your lessons. Your focus on real music and your insights on how the chords and notes fit together to make music is very helpful. You are an excellent teacher. Thank you.
Thanks so much Tony! So glad you’re finding the lessons so useful! Lots more on the way!
when you improvise with the blues scale, do you change the scale according to the chord changes or you do stick to the G blues scale for the entire chord progression ?
You can do either! Maybe start with the G blues - then start changing the scale for each chord in the sequence.
Do you think that you can also do, Imagine by John Lennon. The intro is very haunting
Great idea!
זה מדהים
Hey hey great ! I played Let It Be for quite some years and I knew there was something not right but never found out what it was until I just saw this video. I subscribed your channel only a week ago and learned already new things. No, I’m not a teached piano player but I use my ears as much and good as possible.
Awesome lesson
Thanks! 😃
Thanks for this amazing video. Great to play along. I was wondering, could you also do a video on how to create backing tracks for funk? Systems and sounds used etc. Thanks in advance.
Great suggestion!
How can I contact you with more questions on Paul's finger placement on chords? I know his style is very unconventional and he plays chords different than the traditional way. I am 37 and just starting out on piano. I have smaller hands and struggle with certain chords used in his songs.
Hi - you can shoot me an email [email protected]
Hey Adam, love your work. Is it possible to request a lesson on lead sheets in particular how to form chords below the melody line in the right hand. Thanks.
Great idea! Thanks Eric!
I am beginner help me with the practice of piano where to start
Simply WONDEFUL!!!! I love your video and your explanation SO MUCH! Thanks!!!! <3
Glad it was helpful! Thanks Fabio!
Danke!
Thank you!
Bro u have a talent 4 teaching, thanks 4 sharing!!!
This is pretty cool! I'm 3½ years into my lessons, but this is really expanding my sound. I can get steps 1 & 2 with practice, but Step 3 is taking me longer. Nothing like a challenge to improve my playing, keep these sessions coming!!
Thanks! Glad you’re finding it useful! Step 3 is a challenge!
That Let It Be Me run down is absolutely amazing. I’ve been playing that walk down wrong. Now I feel like a pro. Excellent Tutorial.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed!
Another excellent video thanks Adam😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
Excellent teaching thank you🎉
You are very welcome!
nice, sounds sweet and lovely
Thank you so much for the McCartney walkdown. It will help us alot👍
You are so welcome!
I’m in my sixties and am so glad that someone as young as you is breaking down my fav kinda music. Am going to practice this on my keyboard that I bought a few years ago. Thanks Bro. And so this is how music gets to be handed down to the next generation. Long live funk and jazz! I just subscribed you
Thanks for the lovely message! So glad you’re finding the videos useful!
Very Good teaching , Thank you so much
Need this intro on repeat
Great tutorial !
Thank you!
around 6:45 you ask what that motif comes from - I would say: Chopin, 1st piano sonata 2nd movement, marcia funebre
Ah that’s it! Thanks!
I love your videos. Always enjoyable and I come away inspired by what I’ve learned. I’ve really enjoyed learning the Bruce Hornsby song and enjoyed & inspired by taking the techniques of The Way It Is and applying them to the other chord progression as you showed.
Thanks for the message! So glad you’re enjoying the content!
If I can ever find the space, I'll get my keyboard out and use it! In the meanwhile, I'll use ma gee-tar. I can do all these things on my axe. BTW, I do the "slur" on the 3rd too. It gives it the sound. Thanks, I like funk, too! 👍 👌 🤪
SUPER FKNN AWESOME!!!
Hi there, i cannot receive the pdf lesson books ... tried two different e-mail addresses ... is there an other place where i could directly download? Thanks ...
I have the same problems
Hi both - that’s very strange. Shoot me an email [email protected] and I’ll make sure you get them. Have you checked spam out of interest?
@@thekeyscoach I have tried different browsers: Edge, Firefox and the Brave browser. I have tried 2 different e-mail addresses, and I have looked into my SPAM-filter. No response email in inbox and spam.
Shoot me an email and I’ll make sure you get whatever lesson books you’re after
Great lesson can’t believe I just found your channel, thanks KZread for suggesting it.
Welcome! 🤗
Another awesome lesson, Adam! So, the pattern in the right hand is to alternate between the I and the IV in descending inversions? This reminds me of your lesson about gospel triads, where the right hand alternates between the I and the ii.
That’s it! Thanks Brian!
Nice lesson! Very cool. Great work. Super clear, easy to follow, and a lot of fun! Keep it up!
Love your videos, thanks. Makes me want to play again!
Go for it! Thanks!!
Killer vid! Love your videos so far! TYSM
Not a very good clap sound actually
