Hilarious but awesome! At least they are been ate! I live on the Kootenay river and regularly hook pike minnow ( also called sqaw fish but this racial term is diminishing), some upto 10-12lbs. Thats where your good fillets will be. I havent tried eating myself but you can have all of mine lol!

I just came across your channel. This video was fascinating, I love exploring tiny creeks. You need to make some more videos! Definitely subscribing. I'm in chilliwack, and fish everywhere around here including the small creeks. Cheers bro.

Congrats on the new species. I still haven't caught a brook trout. Those looked like prickly sculpin. Dots on first dorsal. I agree water shoes are essential. Nice microfishing adventure. 👍

Cool video. I am surprised you are allowed to spear fish there with all the regulations. Use a spoon for scaling or the side of the fork. If you do it in a sink full of water the scales don't go everywhere. Dinner looked good. 👍

  • @pipesfishing5080

Thanks bruddah! And yeah totally! Especially cause you never know when you're gonna hook into a fish you aren't allowed to keep or just don't want to keep, in which case having no barb really helps with a clean release.
