Hey Guys my name is Chris. I am a local fisherman of SW Florida. I have grown up here fishing ponds, lakes, rivers, canals, and the flats of Charlotte Harbor and Boca Grande area. I mainly focus on artificial inshore fishing. I also fish fresh water too. I mainly fish from my Drift BoneFish kayak but I also fish from land and from my Jon boat. Good video man. That is so awesome man how you take your boys kayak fishing 🎣 man . I have 6 boys myself & they love kayaking 🛶 & kayak camping 🏕 . They will do some fishing 🎣 as well it all depends on what they want to do . I am down for whatever as long as I am kayaking 🛶 . It's awesome to see you on the water with your son making good memories & video & pictures too . I do the same thing Except I don't make videos which I should . It's awesome how you kayak 🛶 barefooted 👣 like me & my 6 boys do . We have to kayak 🛶 barefooted 👣 because my boys have very wide feet 🦶 & i have big & very very extremely wide feet 🦶 sz15 6E wide ( which is very very extremely wide feet 🦶 ) with very very chubby fat wide toes that are Evenly straight across making my foot very very Extremely wide at 6 1/2 inches wide from my big toe to my lil toe . My foot outgrow shoes , socks , & boots when I was young & Flip flops 🩴 is the only footwear that will barely and I mean barely fit on my feet 🦶 because my toes are wider than the flip flops 🩴 straps . Me & my boys hate wearing shoes & socks because they crush & hurt our feet 🦶 & toes because of how extremely wide our feet 🦶 are. I also like your Crocs you are wearing man. I wish that i could wear them but they won't fit me because my toes are Evenly straight across & the toes box area is made for toes that are at a 45° Degrees angle & it will crush & hurt my 4/5 toes because of how extremely wide my feet 🦶 & how evenly straight across my toes are. That’s a far paddle to bull bay from 19th 🤯 I’ve always wanted to go fish back there but haven’t made it that far yet, can’t ever convince anyone to go with me lol. Was thinking about launching at coral creek soon and work the shoreline down to the back of bull bay, that way I don’t have to cross the channel.
Idk where coral creek is. I plan on going there again in the near future. If you message me on IG we can plan a day to make it happen!

Been super windy, got the same kayak as your boys just rigged it up and took it fishing for the first yesterday on the Peace River in Arcadia crazy experience. Ponce looks sick might have to go over there and fish some saltwater!
Ponce is a great area to fish. I almost went up river to shell creek yesterday afternoon there should be a lot of big snook possibly tarpon by the damn

Nice trip, do you like to fish that area in the winter or just early summer?
I normally only go there when the tarpon are rolling heavy.

Depends on temps and rain. Normally they will start showing up late June to early July

Yes I launch at the boat launch. I go out to the main river then head north! Shell creek is far from there so I’d use a different launch to go there. Thank you for watching!

I didn’t have any issues when I went but I was quick to get on the water. Only issue I had in the water was horse flies.

Yea late winter early spring. This year those winds lasted all through spring. We had a lot of negative tides that lasted into spring too. But temp wasn’t bad

So what did you decide about the pedal drive? I have a place in Rotonda west and have been trying to decide on a kayak for 3 months. Really want a motor I think but also want to be able to paddle. Been considering a Zulu
I loved the peddle drive! It was night and day with my paddle kayak. I will definitely be getting one in the future!

Hello: New subscriber here. Thanx for the great vid. I have not been to the Ponce area in probably a couple of years. Have never done particularly well there, have caught only small snook, trout and the occasional red. As to plastics, like you, I am pretty much strictly a Z-Man guy. Beer Run is a definite killer! Good luck in the tournament.
