    Now that's a coincidence you bought a 310 - I've been considering that or the GS310 to commute to work on a for getting around but the alleged high service costs worry me. My faithfull SH300 now has over 40k on the clock and though I like the Medley, I think I'll struggle with a 125.......so, how are you finding the 310 and how's the engine?

  • @BikeMates
    @BikeMates13 сағат бұрын

    @@wildnfrantic1015 hi 👋 the 310 is great for what I need it for which is mainly pleasure rides around country lanes and the odd trip to the coast. It’s quite a revvy little engine but considering it only has 34hp it performs very well in general. The only downside is it’s quite vibby at higher speeds due to being a single cylinder I suppose. It’s economical to run though and good fun. Service cost aren’t that expensive, I usually do my own oil changes and filter change so would only be going to BMW for valve checks. Hope this helps with your decision. Ride safe

    @@ChrischrosBelgium hi 👋, it all depends on the spec that you want I suppose. The Piaggio has much the same as the Honda other than the Honda has keyless ignition which I’m not a fan of so personally for me it would be the Medley but if you like the idea of keyless then choose the Honda. As for running costs and reliability I would say it’s even. I prefer the look of the Medley but again it’s a matter of personal preference. Hope this helps. Ride safe whatever you choose 👍

    Hi I’m rebuilding one of these … replaced the complete top end…. Timing marks are good…. Bike fired up and ran with lots of twisting (revving of throttle ). Now won’t fire at all? Tanks is disconnected just using a bottle of petrol to gravity feed carb… does this carb (which is all cleaned) need to be st up with vacuum pipes etc to get a good feed and allow diaphragm s in carb to work and lift needle valve Thanks in advance

    @@mercurysax8902 hi 👋 on the carb that was on mine I’m sure the vacuum tube was only to operate the petrol valve in the tank which let’s petrol flow when a vacuum is caused by the engine turning. Pretty sure the needle valve is operated by mechanical control. Hope this helps

I’ve already watched and used your carb video… a great help… carb had been cleaned before so now got to tinker with.. idle, airflow etc. Next is to see why the inlet valve had siezed stripping the cam!! Gonna connect the rad flush it ..run it up and drop the oil to see if it’s milky!! Somewhere between Chippenham and Marlborough a biker on a much larger machine going the other way nodded. I have never forgotten that moment. Now, in my 60s I ride a Z750 and always repay that compliment. (Except to food delivery riders - Uber etc.... they don't give a shite about me so they're not worth a nod).

I found an x-country at a local dealer today and sat on it for a bit. x-country seat is a lot lower, among other differences. I will go back and give the x-country a test ride soon, and maybe I'll end up with 2 of the 3 g650x trio ! Then maybe I'll find an x-moto too. Just for market info, the local dealer is trying to sell the x-country with 17k miles for around $4500.

Very interesting, always thought I’d never think about owning a scoot’ but, with a recent foot injury, advancing years and high cost of motoring, I think they make more sense than ever. I'm getting my 150S next week and I'm so excited about it. Regarding the seat, I noticed that my Beverly 350 ones is a bit softer. I believe they made it that way on the Medley so in order to gain some room under seat and to lower the seat height they had to reduce the thickness of the foam but it has to be more firm. I also noticed the same aspect on the Sym 200, the seat sponge is thin but more firm.

Ok too slow for motorways but speedo light fails, old bulb out, new one in. £1 and two minutes. Youre a plumber, right? Answer the frikkin phone ass hole! I ended up takin out and replacing a rusty rad myself cuz none of you mugs want my money. Thank f for youtube tutorials. I fitted a drain tail cuz the thick "tradesman" who originally fitted the rad cheaped out with a plain valve which just makes xtra work for the next man.
