I always wondered why the possessed Regan allowed her mother to leave her bedroom after blocking the door with the chair. Wasn’t the point of the demon trapping Cris to murder her, the same way it murdered Burke Dennings?
That’s a good question bc there is really no information on that in the book or any discussions with filmmakers. My guess is the demon was enjoying torturing the mother way too much.
I wouldn’t even tell a psychiatrist that I was talking to a mannequin-turned-woman. Because that shrink would probably have me committed to a psych facility. I would get up to walk out of the shrink’s office, and I’d immediately be grabbed by orderlies and carted off to the funny farm.
