Great review! It always annoys me when people say that this movie isn't scary because they never show the witch. I think that imagining what Mike and Heather were seeing at the end is way creepier. Plus with the small budget that they were working with, who's to say that it would have been that impressive if they had shown her?

I was 18 when this came out. There was a film before that was similar called "The Lost Broadcast" in 1998. With the found footage concept. At the time it was released some of the world were split 50/50 on if what they saw was real or fake. It was made clear rather quickly over a couple years that it was fabricated and acted. It was a different and interesting movie for its time. I would call it a success. They made a sequel after the success and it was horrendous. Great Review! Love to hear from others old and new.

28:38 I’m with Armando - at that point I would find the highest tree to jump out of or lay down in the creek. How can anyone say this movie isn’t scary. Being lost in the woods of Hicksville with two strange dudes while being stalked by a witch is my biggest fear.

Corey my mom also let me watch multiple iconic horror movies at age 10 on Halloween night. That's why I'm obsessed with horror movies as an adult lol.

I really thought this really happened! Your dj at a strip club voice was amazing! I loved it! I can't read a map for shit! My husband knows this and yet he'll show me one! It's like, why are you showing me this! You know I can't read maps! I'm one of those women who shouldn't be the leader. My husband says I wouldn't be able to find my way out of a cardboard box.
