  I have a Nikon P-900 camera and love the zoom. Not the most detailed images out there but good enough for me. Problem now is, it dropped out onto the concrete drive when I opened the door of my truck and broke the lens on one side. Just on the edge but it sprayed splinters of glass about and one landed dead center of the lens. You can not remove these lenses and there is no way to shoot air in to move the tiny piece of glass. I even tried throwing it down rather hard on the bed, hoping it was jar loose. It is difficult for me to buy things like this in the first place being that I am retired and mostly living on SS. I know I should have had the camera in its case while driving but I left it in the seat this one lousy time and boom. I can use the camera but most of the time I see the blurry sliver in the image. If I could afford it, I would rather have a Chronos camera anyway. Much more interesting to me. My phone can take regular pictures for me.

  If you were to start over building a DIY HighSpeed camera today, what boards, sensor, chips would be suitable for a setup under say $6-700? I know a lot has changed since your HSC768 days. I really want to build something capable of 230fps at the highest resolution possible. Any advice would help. Thanks

  Nice shots! When will we get sample shots taken with the Chronos Q12? I may be nitpicking but I still see some slight color aliasing/moire in the hummingbird's chin. Will these new cameras have OLPF's to reduce the aliasing/moire in them?

  Max frame per second low résolution with chronos 4k?

  The max frame rate at 4K changes depending on bit depth. For 12 bit it's' 481, 10 bit it's 1006 fps and 8 bit it's 1397 fps. These frame rates are subject to change when the production model comes out. All the info is on their webpage.

  I'm writing my master's thesis about high-speed cameras and even mention your Chronos 2.1 in the meantime and now you're just putting out a really cool new camera. Two days after I handed it out hahaha 😂😂But whyyy?? Very cool camera, looks really exciting and seems to be the Freefly Ember competition! Greetings from Germany :)

  Incredible FPS specs, but dynamic range looks very shitty. Definitely not for high end productions. Try to get at least 13stops of DR ! Congrats anyway !

  BTW, this is just an idea. But why don't you have a competition among Chronos owners to see which can make the most creative video and give the winners a brand new Chronos 4K12 or Q12 camera. I think that would be a great idea!
